    I see the point of this but has anyone else noticed that there has been a ton of time and money spent making helmets lighter and smaller only to bolt a bunch of stuff to them returning them to where we were before?

      Sure, but now there’s additional functionality to all that weight.

      Lightweight is fine when your humping. But if you’re in a vehicle manning a crew served weapon (not CROWS) you may want some “protection”. Frankly your melon isn’t were you want smaller.

      Yes and no. This kind of stuff gives you options, so you can scale the solution to the mission.
