Petzl’s Caritool (left) was originally designed as an Ice Screw Holder. The carabiner design attaches to a climbing harness (or other belt) and has an integrated clip to held it in place. It can be used to attach a variety of gear, including ear pro on a gun belt.
The newer Caritool Evo (right) has an even deeper basket and a different, rear mounted, tension attachment system so it can be used with wider belts.
Neither are designed as personal protective equipment.

So they arnt to be used for defense? Does that mean if I smash someone in the face with one the person wont feel it?
Put down the 5.11 catalogue. This are plastic carabiners. When it says not designed as personal protective equipment, means its not designed for climbing/weight bearing.
Put down my 511 catalog?…From My Cold Dead Fingers!

Not trolling just my weak humor
Is that metal adjustable connector the best they can do? Petzl have a habit of getting vital bits wrong, hope not this.
It works.
The “MAX 0.05 KN” gave me a good laugh. Well Done!
So, what size of belts are we talking about for each model?
There are several companies making their own versions. Here’s DMM: http://dmmprofessional.com/products/vault/
