Shadow Works introduced the PIG 0311-G Tripod for budget minded shooters and departments. The PIG Saddle Mount and a tripod is $230 or $138 for just the tripod.
In addition to the Interchangeable spiked feet, the PIG 0311-G Tripod features a Removable Load Bearing Hook. Additionally, the tripod will splay to 11″ thanks to the short center column. That rotating center column also allows you to direct mount a HOG or PIG Saddle.

This is great news!
I’ve been playing with this tripod a little bit over the past month or so. This is a great economical solution for those needing a tripod geared towards improvisational position shooting. Glad to see someone keeping the OD going too.
What would you recommend as a complimentary swivel head at a similar quality/price point?
That seems to be a tougher solution. I haven’t found and economical ball head thats effective for use with shooting. Everything I have expierence with costs as much as some quality tripods. I’m sure Shadowtech is eyeballing a solution to compliment this setup.
We have been pairing the Feisol CB-50D ball head with the PIG0311-G tripod. Medium range ball head with 41lbs load rating and accepts arca-swiss plates/mounts.
I’m very happy to see an economical option that is not pot metal!
For those of us that would like to take advantage of tripod shooting but can’t afford or justify a $600+ carbon fiber setup, this is great!
