Earlier this year, Finnish suppressor manufacturer Ase Utra introduces new Dual suppressors in 5.56 and 7.62 versions.
The DUAL556-BL model features minimal ( less than 10% ) addition in bolt carrier speed across different 5.56 weapon types and barrel lengths. The higher end of 20% is only see with extremely short barreled weapons such as the HK G36C with less than 9? barrel. On this weapon the more traditional suppressor types have 40-50% increase. Data sheet is available at Ase Utra DUAL 556-BL suppressor.
The DUAL762-BL model features c. 5-20% increase across different barrel lenths and weapon types. Data sheet is available at Ase Utra DUAL762-BL suppressor.
Love new suppressor tech, but don’t these flow through designs that minimize back pressure have a much larger flash and blast signature forward of the muzzle? Even with flash hider end caps? Thanks!
Hi,
Our DUAL family of suppressor does not have that happen.
Net sound suppression next to the muzzle is several dB less than with our older and more traditional suppressor designs. But back at the shooters ear level on most weapon types they are not louder and actually on some cases the opposite, with the ejection port side ear being even quieter.
Also the first round flash is smaller than with our previous models.
The flash signature also does not increase even with the suppressor heating up after extensive firing.
Best Regards!
