The Olympus is Made in USA and extremely versatile. You can roll-it, ruck it, expand it, and palatize it for easy transport. It has three removable shelves and once on location it can be used as either a foot or wall locker. The retractable metal handle acts as an integrated dolly system reducing strain on shoulder joints, provides separation between your heels and the bag, and allows for users to easily push / pull heavier loads – something that bags with cloth handles do not!

With over 185,000 Olympus bags in circulation, The Olympus is one of the most popular rolling duffle bags sold to the US Military. Flexible enough to serve as an “A” and “B” Bag for the following:
– Army – Deployment or Loadout Bag
– Air Force – Mobility Bag
– USMC / Navy / Coast Guard – Sea Bag
– National Guard – Drill and Emergency Response Go Bag

Multiple Ways to Order:
• DLA Stock System (see NSNs Above)
• GSA Advantage
• Tailored Logistics Support (TLS) Program • LiteFighter.com

One of the worst deployment bags I’ve used. Bags were purchased for the company on my last deployment. The wheels failed, the rubber separated from the plastic portion of the wheel. The zippers failed. The elaborate strap system for the shoulder straps would hang out of the bag and get caught and damaged while loading on aircraft and vehicles. The retractable handle would regularly fail, either not retract or not extend or even come off completely. When the bag is extended it is too long to fly on charter flights. We could not use them expanded. The components are all designed for light casual use, not for heavy duty use. Every bag in our company had some sort of failure. All were brand new when issued. I’d recommend passing on this particular item.

Been using one of the original bags on my short term deployments/travel as a LEO and working as I requested it. Suits my needs well. Have’t tried it Overseas or an Annual Training yet.

Haven’t had to kick the crap out of them like you have. Around what time frame did you use the bags? Quality might have improved since your Company last used them.

      • FAEX says:

It was 2016-2017. It very well may have been a bad batch of bags in that time frame. We had multiple people with brand new bags that the wheels literally fell off of while pulling them to the aircraft to load. To be fair, that time period is my only experience with the bag. I am assuming they were gen 1. Hopefully the quality has improved.

Other than the crap handle that breaks/gets stuck, and the backpack straps that break, these are a decent bag to roll across concrete and toss on a pallet. Definitely unmanageable extended. We get these issued, and guys use them until they buy a base camp or black home duffel.

    • LiteFighter Systems says:

I’m sorry you feel this way, but this isn’t the feedback we’ve received from our customers. We’ve sold and delivered more than 200,000 bags and received nothing but positive reviews.

I do know that in certain instances competitive companies like to leave negative reviews on our products here, and I’m hoping that isn’t the case. However, if you experienced all of these defects with our product please reach out because we do offer a Life Time Warranty on Manufacturer defects and we would be glad to take a look at your bag and either replace the defect or the entire bag if necessary.

Like I said, they’re issued. So I just DX’d them. After the second time, I just use it to keep cold weather outer layers organized in my gear cage. I’m not out any money, so I have no hard feelings about it. They are nice to wheel across an improved surface to a pallet to load. Having a ton of the same size/shape bag makes pallet build a cinch. But a lot of guys upgrade out of pocket for other bags.

So what is the difference between these Litefighter Olympus 2 bags and the Thin Air Gear Olympus bags? Related? I’ve had my Thin Air Gear one for 7 years of Infantry life and it has served me well.

    • LiteFighter says:

There isn’t a difference. LiteFighter assist Thin Air and was able to obtain an NSN for the bags. LiteFighter is an exclusive distributor and partner with Thin Air Gear.
