SHOT Show 22 – Geissele Automatics GFR in 6mm ARC

Geissele Automatics launched their GFR in 6mm ARC. Barrel lengths will be 14.5″, 16″, 18″, and 20″ Stratomatch.

They’ve also introduced two muzzle devices.

Above is now their standard muzzle device and below is the Swavvy Muzzle Brake.

    Is that upper something I just missed, or something new? Steel reinforcement?

      That’s what it looks like. I think geissele’s first steel reinforced up was on the VSASS.

        I had forgotten that rifle. Both reinforced uppers(LMT and BCM) and replaceable components seem to be an emerging trend. Big fan of incremental improvement like this.

    Their 6 ARC rifles shot very well. Also, I believe they have new stocks (pictured).

      Thanks for pointing them out. Do you know if that is something they are manufacturing or sourcing from another company?

        It’s theirs. The stock is modular. You can remove the toe to shorten the overall height, making it much easier to seat in the shoulder pocket while wearing a plate carrier and getting the receiver extension inline with the shoulder for increased recoil mitigation and overall control. The full size mode with the toe installed makes it a normal height stock for shooters who don’t wear armor all the time.
