Anyone else wondering why the spec’d so much black in the products? Zippers Fastex and Velcro. The Velcro on the shirts really jumps out.
Black is hands down the easiest and most cost effective colorway to stock a very large and varied inventory of raw materials – thread, webbing, buckles, zippers and sliders, molded buckles, hook and loop, etc…
If all of the products in these pictures are prototypes, it would be safe to assume that they used all black for now to get functional prototypes in the hands of the end user. Also, the customer may not have chosen an official solid color compliment to this pattern. Platatac is producing the fabric and webbing – and I’m assuming the printed mesh seen of the armor carrier and belt, so they had that on hand for this production run of product.
“When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle.”
This looks great. Will this pattern be for sale for simple meatballs like me? (Civie, American).
