It’d be great if they came in a rigid sheath inside the packaging to prevent getting folded up, flattened, or otherwise distressed. Someone should work on that.
Lube the nostril, not the tube.
I always just spit on the tube.
Dunk it in the patient’s mouth. Spit, snot, and blood all work as lube. For sex, and for NPA’s.
I’d be concerned with the lube infiltrating and obstructing the lumen
Combat Medical has had a version of this for years. It works very well and the impregnated silicone doesn’t have any memory so it will never kink or take any shape other than the one designed.
Hopefully the NARP is similar. I wonder why the NARP kept the old style nose flare instead of modifying it to help with securing it to the nostril?
