BLACKHAWK! Omnivore Holster Now Available

omnivore-lg

Overland Park, KS – January 10, 2017 – Multiple holsters for multiple handguns is no longer an issue. The BLACKHAWK! Omnivore is a multi-fit holster that accommodates more than 150 styles of semi-automatic handguns with an accessory rail. The active retention mechanism locks onto our proprietary Rail Attachment Device, not the frame of the handgun. A thumb release disengages the locking mechanism when drawing the handgun. The holsters are now available at dealers.

• MULTI-FIT – Omnivore holsters fit more than 150 styles of semi-automatic handguns with an accessory rail.

• ACTIVE RETENTION MECHANISM – Ergonomic thumb-activated retention mechanism delivers instant firearm access.

• LEVEL 2 RETENTION – Uses two features to hold handgun securely in place.

• FREE-FLOATING DESIGN – Holster locks onto Rail Attachment Device, doesn’t wear firearm’s frame and finish.

• 3-POSITION ADJUSTABLE RELEASE – Height of thumb-activated retention mechanism adjusts to fit your hand.

BLACKHAWK!, a Vista Outdoor, Inc. brand, is committed to providing the best class of tactical gear. For more information, visit www.blackhawk.com.

I’ll stick to my Safariland, thanks.

  2. Well looks like Blackhawk! copied us and is really trying to go full ahead with a knock off. They say being copied is a form of flattery but when you work hard for years to make a truly combat affective system it is not flattery any more, its offensive. Too bad they will be hearing from us before too long. It “grinds my gears” when some one does this. Not cool Blackhawk!, not cool.

Still looks as if it could be ripped off the belt without much effort. Maybe it will attach to the SERPA duty drop to give it a bit more rigidity? Or maybe there will be a duty drop made for this new line? The pictured belt attachment doesnt appear that it would survive a struggle for the weapon.

I’ve been looking into this holster and from what I’ve found it is supported by all of the current interchangeable belt parts Blackhawk! currently offers.

Well, at least the subtle trident logo is better marketing than 1″ font screaming BLACKHAWK! down the side.

    At least there is that.

FYI, I got mine in last week. Works as advertised. Ended up connecting it to a G-Code adapter for belt and drop leg switching. That works great too.
