For those of you asking for more lumens, SureFire is introducing the XC1-B which ups the lumens from 200 to 300.
You’ll notice a slightly different form factor with the battery cap slightly protruding.
Additionally, the switch now offers momentary on as well as constant on.
Bottom line, more lumens, same run time.

I’d rather prefer longer run time in same lumen.
The XC-1 apparently has longevity issues (check out the reviews on Amazon.com). I wonder if this was fixed?
Is the only form factor change the battery cap — i.e., open-ended holsters made for XC-1A’s would still be able to fit the XC-1B?
That is correct. As for the switching, you can now one-handed constant on via a quick tap on either toggle. Momentary activation is retained, and momentary use (anything longer than a quick tap) on either toggle will activate the light as predicted.
Does the switch work like the x300 now?
This is precisely what I would like to know
The option of having a momentary + constant on feature in the toggle is a HUGE upgrade from the standard XC1, and one I’ve been waiting for. Glad to hear this. Interested to see precisely how the toggle switch functions.
Do we have a release date?
I’ve had an original XC-1 for less than six months and it completely crapped out on me and the turn around time for the warranty is around two months so buyers beware.
