Earlier this month the US Army released an RFI to industry, seeking sources for a full auto, 9mm sub compact weapon. Just weeks later, Glock displayed this combination at SOFIC.
It combines a Silencerco suppressor, Mako foregrip and Endotactical stock adapter with a Magpul stock, all mounted to a select fire Glock 18.

Seems like it. Israeli junk on a 18, that is a bad idea. This is a shitty attempt at a Baretta 93r or Stechkin APS/APB. If it needs to be CONUS made, only one real option HK MP5K. Since SIG MPX K is not exactly known for it’s reliability.

Hopefully they’ll put a bit more thought into anything they submit. Foregrips on Glocks are infamous for hand injuries. But if they’re serious: Gabe Suarez has probably done more with this setup than anyone. He has made quite a few needed refinements,like a manual safety and red dot.
with the length of pull on that adapter kit i’d be suprised if the entire assembly isn’t practically the lenght of a 10.5 carbine

The MP9 would be an excellent choice.
It would be, if B&T would bring production into CONUS. Outside of a small batch suppressor production program for currently mothballed HK 417 platform and a small batch of TP9/MP9 suppressor program. The real chance of that happening is about as big as Obama getting back in office. Real deal options are MP5K or the SIG MPX-K. The MPX QC just sucks the MP5K with better ammo solves almost all of the issues.

A 6 Second Mount would have been a good edition to that assembly: non-reciprocating red dot, and a foregrip would mount a bit lower than stock to stay further clear of the slide.

Doesn’t look all that subcompact to me. Can someone explain the rationale behind this approach? It looks like DoD wants to get a subgun on the cheap,a nd we all know how that’s most likely going to turn out.

My TL wants the team to rock these for door crashing ops. We like to go with no cans. My ATL says we could shoot alot farther without cans and subsonic ammo! His squad rocked cans in Saudi and had a hard time out passed 150. This would also be a great car gun. It looks bad A$& and is compat for good car work. Just change the can out please glock.
Uh, you do realize that you can use regular ammo with a can, right? And that the gun performs just as well with one?

The only “Israeli crap” on it is the forward grip which I do have issues with. However, I actually really like the idea overall. I have a moderate amount of trigger time on the Glock 18 with and without an Endo Tactical stock adapter. I think this has real potential. I do think it is still in need of additional refinement. For example, I think a previous commenters suggestion for a non reciprocating quality red-dot mount would be very helpful. I know that the forward grip that is on there is supposed to also function as a safety in that it covers the the trigger when folded. However, I think a frame mounted Comonoli safety would be a better idea in that it could be easier to use as opposed to folding and unfolding that Israeli forward grip pseudo-safety. Of all the pistol stocks I have seen and experienced, the Endo Tactical is by far the best, no contest. BTW, as an aside, while I was shooting a Beretta 93R once the folding forward grip came undone. If I had not had my thumb hooked through the trigger guard like you are supposed to (it is specifically designed and intended to be used that way), I might have shot my hand. The use of the suppressor greatly diminishes this concern. If it was me it would live on there full time. If not I would want some kind of forward grip that would be absolutely rock solid and preferably attached to the trigger guard in addition to the rail. Because if it comes off, yeah that could be a bad day.
I actually like the Israeli glock stock that inserts behind the mag well. Nice set up, esp with a red dot optic. This is just a lot of extra plastic.
The stock in the pic is an american made item by Endo tactical. It is the best aftermarket add on pistol stock I have ever experienced. The “Israeli” stock that attaches behind the mag well is flimsy by comparison and has other design deficiencies that I do not care for.
Leave the gun. Take the Comonoli.
