Developed for the Hessian Police in Germany by Blackhawk, this Rotating Belt Loop allows the wearer to drop the holster out of the way of body armor, yet not have to remove the holster and reposition it, when seated in a vehicle.
This is thanks to two rotating joints which move with the pull of a single lever. Below, you can see it mounted to a belt.
The next two images show it in use.
As you can see, the pistol remains accessible, forward of seatbelts.
The Rotating Belt Loop will work with a variety of holster.
Not generally a fan of Blackhawk but damn that’s clever for duty holsters.
Would have paid for this when I was squeezing in and out of M-ATVs…
I don’t see that setup being durable.
I agree but it is a step in the right direction. Used to be dressed in my duty belt(LE) to and from work and my weapon was pretty much inaccessible with a seatbelt on inmy car. I used stay unbuckled driving through the worst areas.
Probably the same thing said about the first gens of Aimpoints, PALS/MOLLE, releasable armor, peltors, kydex, ad infinitum.
Actually first gen Aimpoints are still going strong after three decades and more. But Iget what you mean. First gen is always fiddly and breaks and has errors.
Already in service for many years from Glock :

Not at all like Glock’s traditional leg mount. Look at the photos dude.
