It’s great to see Army SF choosing to carry the Sig m17/m18, despite having access to other brands of pistols.
Based on uniform, kit, and rifle I would hazard a guess that is a picture of the SFAB soldiers.
Exactly
I don’t know, everything in that picture looks sloppy.
They look like a bag of smashed —holes with regards to shooting posture and readiness. If someone trained them, it didn’t stick.
Horrible posture
Is this the military version of having to train your replacements?
…..Asking for a friend.
We are not getting rid of SF, not even close. This is simply the Army catching up with the reality that not every train and assist problem needs guys who have been through the Q course thrown at it. But a lot of those missions would be more successful if you have guys who are dedicated to the task instead of fielding pickup teams or shoehorning regular Army units into that role like we did in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Plus these guys can always be used as cadre for a domestic build up later. I am willing to bet most of them will probably get pretty good at training folks how to soldier after a rotation or two teaching our allies.
miclo18d, I just caught the 18 in your handle and picked up on the context. I meant no offense with my comment.
No worries, I was just trying to be funny.
