A Press Release Is Just A Press Release

I recently read a post on Facebook that featured a link to one of our articles and stated that we said a company “did good work.” As I didn’t recall ever stating that, I went to the link and it was a press release we had published from said company.

As an “industry blog” we are going to occasionally do just that; post a press release. We might add a little intro that lets you know how we feel, but the fact that something appears on our page isn’t necessarily a vote of confidence on our part. It’s just industry news and nothing more. We’ll happily let you know when something is great, but a press release is just a press release.

Ammo Audio – ‘AmmoCan X’ Ammo Can Speaker

The AmmoCan X is a Veteran-made speaker system hand-built within a used Military ammo can. It packs two 4″ coaxial speakers, a super efficient amp, and a 12v battery with a 20+ hour life. The AmmoCan X features Bluetooth, allowing for wireless use, and two USB ports for charging mobile devices. Additionally, an onboard red DC voltage button lets users check how much power is left in the unit with a voltage meter “cheatsheet” carved right into the speaker face next to the voltage meter.

A PERSEC Reminder in the Wake of the OPM Breach

We still don’t fully comprehend the full implications of the recent, massive, breach of the U.S. Government’s Office of Personnel Management’s computer files. Specifically, we know that security clearance information was stolen and there is a great deal of personal information found on the SF86 questionnaire that is also used on the web. For example, password hints for financial or otherwise important websites like the name of your elementary school, best friend’s name, etc. Seriously consider changing those and keep an eye on your information.

Remember, a little PERSEC goes a long way.
