We mentioned they were coming a year ago and then showed a sneak peek right after SHOT Show. Now, the new colored Knee Caps from Arc’teryx LEAF have hit the market.
They are now available in Black, Foliage, Crocodile, and Coyote and feature the T-lock quick release tri-glide buckle. Now in stock at Tactical Distributors (minus Foliage).
The Radiator by Arc’teryx LEAF is an exclusive version of the Gamma AR in Crocodile for US Elite Gear. Constructed from 4-way stretch Polartec Power Shield, the Radiator features US Elite Gear’s logo embroidered on the sleeve. It joins the previously released US Elite version of the Covert Zip, also in Crocodile, called the Baj.
As a little perk for Soldier Systems’ readers, US Elite Gear has generously offered a 15% off sale on both ‘The Radiator’ and ‘The BAJ’, our custom Covert Zip. Using the coupon code “SOLDIERSYSTEMSROCKS†customers can get 15% off one of these 2 custom jackets now through Aug. 15. Thanks!
Just like Arc’teryx developed Crocodile as their Green shade, word has it that they have developed a new LE shade called Wolf that is somewhere between Black and Grey. Few outside the outdoor market know that Arc’teryx has the largest and most extensive color shop in industry and are known to set the palette for the coming season. In fact, Arc’teryx has to be on the lookout for knockoff artists at major trade shows. In one case last year, they confronted a “fan” carrying a portable spectrometer attempting to take readings of their upcoming color palette.
The new shade is still a couple of seasons off but we look forward to this new option.
Arc’teryx LEAF Rigger’s Belt from Arc’teryx LEAF on Vimeo.
I’ve been to the Arc’teryx lair and seen their test apparatus. They built that in-house, in their small machine shop to make sure they got it right. The H150 Rigger’s Belt is available from a variety of sellers and moving quickly. Be sure to get yours.
With an update to their website, Arc’teryx LEAF launches their Fall 2011 line which includes the H150 Rigger’s Belt and Wraith, both unveiled at SHOT Show.
I received this today from Arc’teryx. This is an exciting opportunity to get on board one leaders in the soldier systems industry. They are a dynamic team filled with rock stars. Answer up if you think you’ve got what it takes.

When you do a search for the Rotor Wash shirt from Arc’teryx, you are offered a simple description, “featuring a reactive printing process that removes colour from the textile, creating a unique graphic look.” This provides an interesting look into the production process, but it doesn’t explain the image.
While it isn’t part of the LEAF line, at first glance you wouldn’t know it. The image is actually of a heli-skier who has just been dropped off by a Bell 212. However, it looks like a UH-1 in a cloud of dust. Unless you look really close, you don’t even notice the two ski poles stuck in the snow in the foreground. The shirt is offered in Blackbird which is a deep Grey color, sized 2 – XXL. A lot of LEAF customers are already wearing it. Take a look and you’ll see why.
The Rotor Wash shirt is currently in stock from Tactical Distributors.
