Wednesday, August 21st, 2013TacHacker – Visit Poly80.com For Your Chance To Win A Free 80% Lower
Tuesday, August 20th, 2013In case you couldn’t tell by the name Poly80 is a new company that specializes in 80% lower receivers which have recently gained in popularity as a DIY project. As of this writing they are not considered firearms until completed and you can finish them for your own use without registering them with the ATF as a manufacturer. You also need to be able to legally possess that particular type of firearms (local laws obviously apply). Nether we nor Poly80 are lawyers but they do offer some background on this issue that will help you with your own research.
The receivers are offered in Black, Sand, Green and Pink and can be completed with simple tools such as Dremel tools and drills. Unlike the aluminum versions, these polymer lowers can be completed without the use of jigs to align the drill.
To mark their launch, Poly80 is offering the chance to win one of five 80% lowers that they are giving away. See their site for details.
And this, well this is pretty funny.
Enter for your chance to win one of five free 80% lower receivers.

Proto Tactical LLC introduces the Alliance, their newest offering to the popular tactical AR15 carbine market, setting a new high water mark for consumer expectations and manufacturer’s standards.
Even though Proto Tactical is a full service firearms manufacturing facility accustomed to fully machining their own receivers, chambering and turning barrels, designing and developing new parts – the decision behind the Alliance was to identify the best parts available and use that list of premium parts and most desirable features to offer a rifle that checks all of the boxes. The Alliance offers both veteran and beginning shooters a turn key solution that was previously only available by working with custom firearms shops, gunsmiths or though years of do-it-yourself experience.
Working with local firearms consultant Kino Davis, Proto Tactical has configured and manufactured a rifle that offers the most sought after features… and drops a lot of names in the process; from the Vltor MUR upper receiver and A5 recoil system, to the 16” mid-length gas system barrel, the highest quality internal parts featuring a short-throw BAD-ASS selector, Centurion Arms railed hand guard, and furniture from B5 Systems and Umbrella Corporation.
Proto Tactical President Gary Palese said “as a manufacturer, it is tempting to just make a lot of these parts in house… but we talked to a lot of people and looked at a many different rifles in the field to come up with this design.” He went on to say “this project was about finding the best systems out there and bringing them together under our standards for Precision in Assembly” – The Alliance rifle is assembled using a Proto Tactical lower receiver, completely manufactured in their Tucson based shop.
The Alliance is available for immediate order, for more information about the Alliance or other Proto Tactical services, contact them at 520-579-9873 or sales@prototactical.com

Tuesday, July 30th, 2013Phoenix, AZ July 23, 2013 – Strategic Armory Corps (“SAC”) announced today that it has acquired ArmaLite, Inc. ArmaLite is a leading manufacturer of a complete line of semiautomatic rifles, including the M15 and AR-10 lines, and an expanding line of advanced bolt action rifles in a wide range of calibers from .308 Winchester through .300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua, and .416 Barrett to the massive AR-50A1 .50 caliber rifle. ArmaLIte will continue to operate out of its facility in Geneseo, Illinois which houses approximately 90 personnel.
Strategic Armory Corps manufactures precision bolt action rifles under the name Surgeon Rifles, high quality firearm suppressors under the name AWC Silencers, and match grade ammunition.
