Post SHOT Show Wrapup – Outdoor Research Glove System

Over a decade ago, Outdoor Research developed the Modular Glove System for USSOCOM. In the ensuing years, there have been upgrades to not only that system but to protective handwear across the board. One of those improvements is the introduction of options. Rather than a one-size-fits-all system, the concept of choices and a menu-based system has become popular. Now, OR has released a new handwear system with more options than ever.

This brochure from OR gives you a good overview of their latest Modular Glove System. The concept is that users will be able to choose which handwear best suits their operational requirememts rather than issuing a large kit to everyone.

Post SHOT Show Wrapup – Roper Fast Rope Glove from Line of Fire

Developed in conjunction with former Navy SEAL Dom Raso, the Roper from Line of Fire is an over glove for Fast Rope insertions. The Roper fits over your standard assault gloves for the insertion phase and are easily removed, leaving your assault gloves in place, so that you don’t have to stop and change handwear.

The Roper is optimized for use with other LoF gloves as the palm is lined with the grippy TEGS material. When a LoF globe with TEGS palm is slipped into the Roper, it offers an excellent grip. Naturally, the TEGS lined palm will enhance use with other gloves as well. Below, Dom goes over the Roper’s features.

Patrol Incident Gear – New Bravo And Updated Alpha Gloves

Patrol Incident Gear has announced their brand new PIG FDT FR Bravo Gloves. The Bravo gloves feature all the same dexterity and touch screen compatibility as the PIG Alpha gloves, and are constructed with premium leather and nomex.

Additionally, PIG has also announced the improved version of the PIG FDT Alpha Glove. It now features touchscreen conductive synthetic suede on the index finger and thumb. This eliminates the need for conductive stitching, while continuing to offer the same dexterity and sensitivity as previous models.

Additionally, all PIG Gloves manufactured from 2015 on will be touchscreen compatible.

Magpul Now Shipping CORE Gloves

Magpul is now shipping ~~all five~~ four of the models of CORE gloves announced last week: CORE Flight Glove, CORE Breach Glove (FR and non-FR), CORE Technical Glove, and CORE Patrol Glove. The CORE Ranch Glove is slated for an early 2016 release.

Rounding out the Magpul CORE Glove line is the new Breach Glove that is available in both FR and non-FR versions.

The Magpul Core FR Breach Gloves are the most protective hard-use gloves in the Magpul line up.
They incorporate the hard knuckle armor, digital pattern reinforced leather palms, and touch screen capability of Magpul’s standard Breach Glove and adds the flame resistant protection of Nomex and Kevlar.
