The Brown Micarta Rigger is the third in a series of limited release knives from Magpul. The first two models went lickety split and there’s no doubt this one will be the same.
This one shares the same CPM S35VN Modified Wharncliffe blade with the differences being cosmetic more than anything; a skeletonized titanium double-locking frame surrounded by linen Brown Micarta scales with a scalloped surface.
Limited to just 200 examples, they will be available only on November 20th at noon EST at Magpul.com.
Chase Tactical is now offering paramedic trauma shears. They are made from premium-grade Japanese surgical stainless steel with a serrated lower edge and rounded blunt tip. They also incorporate a Black Fluoride coating to prevent tape residue and feature injection molded polypropylene handles. The Chase Tactical medical scissors come in one size of 7.25″.

Born of Flames. Seriously. The Septimo™ Multi-Tool is a tactical carry designed by a seasoned Green Beret to be more than a convenience—he forged it of experience to serve as a lifeline. A tanto blade with one Veff Serration™ pairs with a Philips and flathead screwdriver, bottle opener, glass breaker, and adjustable wrench to create this deployment-prepared powerhouse.
Jeremy Valdez of Tampa, Florida brings combat experience and time serving in the 7th Special Forces Group to the aptly named Septimo™ Multi-Tool; a tribute meaning “seventh” in Spanish. Designed in the spirit of his tactical folding knife by the same name, the main motivation for this multi-tool design arises from his 2009 deployment to Afghanistan. During combat operations, Jeremy was involved in a helicopter crash. In the chaotic aftermath, the small folder he had failed to perform when he was cutting straps and moving debris while pulling fellow soldiers out of the burning, tangled chopper wreckage.
Duty to his fallen comrades and brothers and sisters in arms drove him to design the Septimo™ and now the Septimo™ Multi-Tool with a thumb stud opening, a desert-proof black oxide finish, and friction points on the handle to help deal with inclement conditions. It was given a single Veff Serration™ for impressively effective strap cutting ability.
In addition to the powerful blade, the Septimo™ Multi-Tool features both a Phillips and flathead screwdriver, a bottle opener, and an adjustable wrench with a strong glass breaker.
Some are born of novelty. The Septimo™ is born of purpose.
About the Forged By War® Program
In 2013, Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, designer of elite, military, tactical tomahawks, approached CRKT® with the news that he had been working with a few combat veterans that had returned from war with varying degrees of post-traumatic stress (PTS).
To help work through their challenges, they have been designing and forging steel into custom tools. Drawing from their experience earned in combat situations, they have been creating tools they wished they had available to them in the battlefield.
CRKT® cares deeply about our returning veterans and we saw a way to give back to the community that created them. In 2016, we launched the Forged By War® program.
These are mission ready tools, designed by veterans, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the veterans’ charity of choice.

Thursday October 29, 2020 Terrain 365™ will release their latest collaboration folder with Prometheus Design Werx, the Invictus-AT with a G10 handle on the presentation side. This version is lighter weight and offers a different tactile feel in the hand. It is engineered for use in any environment on land, in and even under water, without ever rusting, pitting or staining. All the materials use in the making of this folder are 100% non-ferrous, non-magnetic, and rustproof. “AT” (A.ll T.errain) designated folders are required meet the trifecta of apex folding knife performance criteria; rustproof, non-magnetic and edge holding. The dendritic cobalt composition and annealing process of their Terravantium™ blades achieves all three.
The Invictus-AT G10 is a collaboration between Terrain 365 and Prometheus Design Werx.
Creative Director and Co-Founder Patrick Ma of Terrain 365 states,
“This variant of the Invictus-AT uses G10 on the presentation side for a reduction in overall weight and a different tactile feel when in the hand. It is another option for fans of this Invictus folder. We’re offering 3 colors in the G10 which adds another layer of options for users’ personal tastes and preferences. In keeping with our primary objectives, we set out to make purpose driven edged tools that are field expedient, possess lasting cutting performance and operate in just about any environment with little to no maintenance. While there is an undeniable industrial appeal to an all titanium handle, I find that G10 and even micarta as handle materials are my personal preference when carrying in the field. IMO, they tend to offer a better grip feel in wet conditions and when backpacking, the less weight the better. Our ‘AT’ designated folders are 100% rustproof and are at home clipped in the pocket of your jeans to IWB in a pair of boardshorts. As a company we did not set out to replace steel blade alloys, rather offer our Terravantium as a high-performance alternative for those who adventure anywhere on land or in the water.”
The Invictus-AT G10 is available for $379.00 on their website.
Magpul announced their limited run of knives last year at SHOT Show and when the first one was released, it crashed their website. Since then, they’ve updated the website and created a new version of the knife, the Rigger.
The Rigger is a limited edition, precision-engineered cutting tool constructed of premium materials and featuring signature Magpul form and function. This first-ever Limited Edition Frame Lock was designed by the team at Magpul and is an expression of Magpul’s design ethos and commitment to quality and innovation. The modified Wharncliffe blade is forged from Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) S35VN stainless steel, considered to be one of the finest blade steels in the world, and one of the first designed specifically for knife blades. This CPM stainless steel construction provides improved strength and wear resistance which means the blade holds its edge longer than lesser steels, reducing the need for frequent sharpening.
The jimped blade flipper deploys and locks the modified Wharncliffe blade open with an audible click. A precision-machined frame lock can also be engaged, preventing accidental blade closure, even in the harshest of environments and during demanding use. A flick of the thumb disengages the SLF, allowing quick, controlled blade closure, with or without gloves.
The modified Wharncliffe blade edge has a distinct distal taper and slight belly that enhance ease of sharpening, maintenance, and overall utility. The primary grind / bevel decreases weight while maintaining blade strength and rigidity. The straight unsharpened back curves slightly and has an abrupt downward edge near the tip, creating an aggressive point for piercing and detailed work.
The titanium pocket clip features a hollow pocket clip screw for lanyards and can be removed or reversed with a slotted screwdriver for easy disassembly and cleaning. At 7.59 inches open and 4.52 inches closed, it’s an ideal size for everyday carry, yet large enough to handle demanding field tasks. The Rigger also comes with a custom high strength, injection-molded, weather-resistant polymer case that’s internally lined with soft foam.
