Monday, June 29th, 2020San Antonio Texas 29JUN2020 – Sons of Liberty Gun Works (SOLGW) is proud to announce the inaugural Sons of Liberty Gun Works Carbine Series Match at The Ranch TX Private Shooting Club.
The match will be run in two phases, with 12 challenging stages covering the 150-acre facility that also include a jungle run. Participants will complete 6 stages each day. Match dates are November 7-8, with the staff and RO’s shooting on November 6.
The Match Director and Stage Designer will be Jeremy Reid, a 3-time United Shooting Sports Leagues (USSL) National Champion. There will be 6 divisions that shooters can select to compete in. Sons of Liberty Gun Works Carbine Series Match affiliation is with the United Rifle League, a division of the United Shooting Sports Leagues.
The SOLGW crew will be on-site, along with Pro Staffers Chuck Pressburg and Chris Woomer.
The Ranch TX Private Shooting Club will have other manufacturers and vendors on site on-site during the event, showcasing their items. Upon match conclusion, there will be a prize table at the end of the event, which will loaded with the best products in the industry.
Registration is limited to 150 shooters.

Bushnell Pros Cooper and Gilliland Continue Hot Streak on PRS Circuit with Elite Tactical Riflescopes

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – June 26, 2020 – Bushnell wishes to congratulate pro shooters Mark Cooper and Melissa Gilliland for claiming two titles at the recent Alabama Precision Regional PRS Match. Cooper used his trusted Elite Tactical XRS II to win the Tactical Division and place 4th overall in the match, continuing his hot streak in recent PRS competitions. Fellow teammate Gilliland was successful in earning a second consecutive Top Lady title thanks in part to her Elite Tactical DMR II Pro.
For Cooper, his recent win at the Alabama Precision Regional marked his fourth consecutive title in the Tactical Division. Entering the match, Cooper was red hot, earning wins at the Pigg River H.A.M., Red Brush and the K&M Precision Rifle Series matches. Cooper currently sits atop the PRS leaderboard with a commanding lead in the Tactical Division.
“Over the last couple of months, everything has been in sync,” said Cooper. “My gear has been running flawlessly and every shooter knows having that confidence is often the determining factor. I’ve always trusted my XRS II, but after these last few matches my faith in it just keeps growing. Regardless of how rough I treat it or what the conditions are – whether dealing with mirage or just bad weather – it never loses zero and it consistently gives me those clear views so I can keep making impacts.”
Fellow teammate Melissa Gilliland also delivered a strong performance taking home the Top Lady title. Fresh off her win at the MPA Regional PRS Match, Gilliland opted to use the Elite Tactical DMR II Pro to begin this year’s season.
“This year I decided to change things up a little and go with the DMR II Pro vs the scope I normally use – the XRS II,” said Gilliland. “While at first it was different not having the higher magnification range of the XRS II, the increased eye box of the DRM II Pro has helped with identifying and picking up targets faster. Both scopes have outstanding glass so really, it’s just a personal preference. You can’t go wrong either way.”

The Precision Rifle Expo 2020 is on for September

Blakely, Ga. (June 2020) – The Precision Rifle Expo (PRE) opens registration for its 3rd annual, two-day event featuring the top brands in the precision, long-range rifle market. This year, the PRE will be held Sept. 26 – 27, 2020, at the Arena Training Facility in Blakely, Georgia. Registration is now open.
With attendance from 2019 exceeding expectations from the inaugural year, 2020 promises attendees an outstanding opportunity to access the exhibitor tent, attend multiple education classes taught by leading names in the precision rifle category, and various range experiences. Novices and professionals, competitors, and industry experts, all converge on one of the Country’s premier shooting facilities to learn from each other, test their skills, and build long-lasting relationships.
This year, attendees will not have to pre-register for any of the classes. Classes will be posted on the website and at the event. Also, pre-registration is $35 with onsite registration at $50. Pre-registrants will not receive a ticket and are asked to proceed to the Check-In Tent where a wrist band will be provided for admission.
The Arena Training Facility is located approximately two hours from the Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta, Georgia, and is centrally located in the Southeastern US. The facility boasts a unique configuration of multiple medium- to long-distance ranges, multiple climate-controlled classrooms, a main building, and a clubhouse (available first come, first serve for exhibitors), all located on 2,300 acres. Bushnell Elite Tactical XRS II Helps Capture Multiple Wins at K&M PRS Match
Thursday, June 4th, 2020Bushnell Pro Mark Cooper Uses XRS II to Win Tactical Division and Place 2nd Overall
OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – June 2, 2020 – Bushnell congratulates Pro Shooter Mark Cooper for adding a new footnote in the Precision Rifle Series history book by becoming the first person in recent history to win the Tactical Division and place 2nd Overall at a National PRS Match. Using his Elite Tactical XRS II, Cooper was able to take home multiple wins at the recent K&M Precision Rifle Series and AG Cup Qualifier in Finger, Tennessee.
After dropping only 8 points across 12 stages on day one, Cooper entered the final day of the match in 20th place. Despite exceeding his initial expectations, Cooper knew that an even stronger performance would be needed to claim a top spot on the podium. He remained confident that his riflescope and gear could help get the job done.
“It might sound simple, but I went into the last day with one goal in mind – don’t miss,” said Cooper. “Throughout the match my XRS II was performing great, giving me crystal-clear views and helping deliver precise shots across a wide variety of distances. I knew that if I could stay focused that I was in a good position to have a strong finish.”
At the end of Sunday, Cooper had dropped only 4 points, bringing his grand total to 12 for the match. Once the last stage was completed, Cooper’s entire squad erupted with excitement, realizing what they had just witnessed. Cooper had ended the match with two wins, and a mere one point away from 1st Place Overall.
“It’s still hard for me to believe that I was able to have such a strong finish,” said Cooper. “Having had big wins in the past using my Elite Tactical scope, I knew anything was possible. Running the XRS II certainly helps with the added confidence as it has exceptional tracking, great glass, and unbeatable durability. These are core features any shooter needs competing in the PRS.”
After a longer than normal return to competition, Cooper entered the K&M match having recorded his first win of the season at the Accuracy International Long Range Classic back in February. At the A.I. USA Pro Series Match, Cooper took home 1st place in the Tactical Division again using his Bushnell Elite Tactical riflescope.
Next up for Cooper is the Pigg River Precision Regional PRS Match in Rocky Mountain, Virginia on June 5th.

Colt Signs Sisters Jalise Williams and Justine Williams to Team Colt

WEST HARTFORD, CONN., (April 7, 2020) — Colt’s Manufacturing Company (“Colt”) proudly announces the addition of two members to its professional shooting team – Jalise Williams and Justine Williams. The Utah-based sisters join Team Captain Mark Redl and Wyatt Gibson on Team Colt. Jalise and Justine bring exceptional young talent to the sport and will represent Colt at shooting competitions and industry events.
Jalise Williams, 17, competes in USPSA, IPSC, 3-Gun, and Steel Challenge. She became the youngest Single Stack Lady National Champion in USPSA history at the age of 15 and holds more than 100 titles. Her 2019 titles include:

– Single Stack Lady National Champion
– L-10 Lady National Champion
– L-10 A-Class National Champion
– IPSC Classic Lady National Champion

Justine Williams, 15, has competed in a variety of shooting disciplines for six years. At age 13 she became the youngest-ever Production Grandmaster and at age 15 earned the PCC Grandmaster title. Justine is the first and only female to become a two-time USPSA Grandmaster.
On joining Team Colt, Justine says, “Having Colt gear that I trust 100% will allow me to focus on the road to winning. Colt is not just a name; it is a legacy of American-made, quality firearms.”

Jalise Williams recently took home the High Lady and High Junior titles at the Western States Single Stack Championship. Justine Williams recently shot the Mesquite Mayhem Steel Challenge Match, taking home the 1st Overall Match title and 1st Overall PCC title. Both women continue into 2020 with full competition schedules, including Safariland Single Stack Classic Nationals, IPSC Nationals, and IPSC World Shoot XIX in Pattaya, Thailand.
