POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, establishing and maintaining sales opportunities to include account management and end user (conventional military, SOF, Law Enforcement or Commercial Business) relationships on a daily basis. BDM’s provide solutions to a customer’s needs primarily through education and awareness of products and services offered by TSSI. The BDM must possess the ability to multi-task and utilize professional time management skills to complete all tasks on or before schedule. BDM’s must present a professional appearance, demeanor and positive can do attitude.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
· Exceed assigned revenue and profit goals on a quarterly review and annual goal.
· Establish relationships, customers and opportunities in new market streams.
· Manage and provide a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes and orders.
· Develop requirements with customers for future bids and contract quotations for equipment and services provided by the company.
· Travel and attend symposia, tradeshows and exhibitions and conduct vendor and customer site visits, for the purpose of cultivating sales opportunities.
· Actively develop competitive and customer intelligence: Communicate market intelligence, opportunities and threats to the company.
· Maintain regular contact with Inside Sales Support Staff.
Additional duties
· Interface and effectively communicate with management team, staff, customers, subcontractors, vendors, business partners and suppliers.
· Take ownership and responsibility for all aspects of the customer sales process.
· On time submission of all required reports to management
o Weekly report
o Pipeline report
o Market study reports
o Expense reports
· Maintain and update an Outlook calendar consisting of client calls, travel and working sales pipeline.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of sales experience or Ten years of industry experience in lieu of education. Military and/or Law Enforcement experience preferred.

Microsoft Office Suite of Applications, MS Outlook and an Internet Browser
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typically in an office environment but may be required to meet with customers in various outdoors environments.
