Go Commando Show – Episode 40: Dr Brett Haake Performing a Stem Cell Procedure on Fred Galvin

Monday, April 9th, 2018

We recently introduced you to the Go Commando Show which featured an interview with SGM Rob Trivino (USA, Ret). If you missed it, go back and listen in.

However, in this latest episode, Dr Brett Haake performs a stem cell procedure on host Fred Galvin’s knees. So many of us have bad knees after our service that I thought this would be some great information. Fred tells me the procedure was six weeks ago and feels the results have been great.

Dr Haake explains the risks and rewards of stem cell and platelet rich plasma therapy. He is an Anesthesiologist, Stem Cell Physician and former Navy Medical officer who deployed to Afghanistan and multiple countries in Asia.

WRMFZY – Tigerstripe 5-Panel Cap

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018

The title is pretty self-explanatory but what makes me interested is that this Veteran-owned clothing brand has combined my favorite camouflage pattern and cap style. It’s like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup for my head!

Proposed Changes To Service Animal Accommodation

Tuesday, February 20th, 2018

The United States Department of Justice is reconsidering significant portions of the Americans With Disabilities Act. One of the provisions involves reasonable accommodation when the disabled person (and/or their service dog) presents a “direct threat” to those around them. In the past, reasonable accommodation could be dispensed with if the individual was afflicted with a communicable disease. Now, the government is considering expanding “direct threat” to include service animals as well as other circumstances. The way this is worded, it is probably going to fly under the radar. Quite a few Veterans I know have service dogs and this may affect them.
