Daniel Defense Introduces New Models

Daniel Defense has announced the release of several new products: DDM4v11 Series Rifles, MK18 Pistol and 300 Blackout Pistol.
Today, they introduced the DDM4v11 series of rifles with the newly designed SLiM Rail™ 15.0, their first rail system featuring the KeyMod attachment system. The V11 is available with the 16-inch Government, 16-inch Lightweight, or 18-inch Strength-to-Weight (S2W®) barrel. The SLiM Rail™, which is an acronym for Slim Lightweight Modular, will be available for individual sale at a later date.
Daniel Defense is also releasing the MK18 Pistol and 300 Blackout Pistol. The MK18 Pistol is very similar to the MK18 Factory SBR—popular in the law enforcement and special operations communities—with a 10.3” barrel that is classified as an SBR (short-barreled rifle) under the National Firearms Act. The 300 Blackout Pistol, chambered in 300 AAC Blackout, also comes with a 10.3” barrel. Both pistols are designed with a 1.15” Diameter Pistol Receiver Extension opposed to a Mil-Spec receiver extension and buttstock and are not NFA regulated items.

Daniel Defense Sues Remington/DPMS For Trademark Infringement
Monday, June 30th, 2014Georgia-based Daniel Defense has filed suit in US District Court against Remington Outdoor Company and DPMS for alleged trademark infringement and deceptive trade practices. DD seeks unspecified damages and recovery of legal costs as well as an injunction preventing Remington or DPMS from using the marks in the future and to destroy all materials bearing them.
Daniel Defense claims trademark of the term “Lighter. Stronger. Better.” which it has used since 1996. It has also trademarked the “>>” chevron, a V-shaped pattern in use since 2012.
Remington’s subsidiary DPMS has been using the term “Lighter, Stronger and even more badass” and “Lighter, Stronger and every bit as accurate as the original” which DD alleges confuses consumers due to the similarity of products.
Daniel Defense Named Presenting Sponsor Of NRA Freestyle

The NRA Freestyle Channel recently launched online, features strong talent from vastly different backgrounds. “Our intention is to reach a broad range of gun owners”, explains Jordan Hunter, Daniel Defense Director of Marketing. Daniel Defense Announces New Daniel Defense Tornado Finish
Thursday, April 24th, 2014Black Creek, GA- April 24, 2014 – Daniel Defense, engineering and manufacturing the world’s finest weapons systems, precision rail systems and accessories, today announced a new finish intended for select rifle versions. Daniel Defense Tornado™, a shade of gray, will be launched at the 2014 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 25-27.
The Cerakote finish is the second new color option Daniel Defense has launched this calendar year. Mil Spec +, a flat dark earth variation, was first unveiled at SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, in January. “When you look for a new car, you have substantially more color options than just black,” noted Jordan Hunter, Daniel Defense Director of Marketing. “Customers want choices other than the mil-spec Type III hard coat anodizing, or matte black, and the Daniel Defense Tornado™, we believe, will be well received by our customers.”
Consumers can expect to see this new eye-catching option at firearms dealers and online beginning this July. Initially, Daniel Defense will offer the DDM4v5 and the V9 LW in the new finish, with additional models to be announced before the end of summer. “We have kept this under wraps for quite some time and are excited to share this new signature color with our customers and fans,” says Hunter.
