Our friends at Hyde Definition have been hard at work. Not only have they recently released new colorways of the popular PenCott camo pattern but they have also unveiled a new web interface. Additionally, they brought Lawrence Holsworth on board as Marketing Director who is well known for his work as editor of Strike-Hold!. Congrats guys!
Two new patterns have been specifically optimized for arid “PenCott-Sandstorm†and semi-arid terrain “PenCott-Badlands†joining the original PenCott-GreenZone pattern. These areas are the most common and most likely operational environments for military assistance and special operations forces.
PenCott’s unique digital fractal design dithers four terrain-optimized contrasting colors to create a combination of soft, blended and hard edges for a more natural-looking texture, and the illusion of a wider spectrum of color tones. This makes it harder for the human eye to process, and recognizable shapes become more difficult to detect and recognize.
Additionally, Hyde Definition has revised their licensing rates to make it even easier for companies to produce their own clothing and equipment designs in the PenCott camouflage pattern. Contact Dom Hyde for further details.

Director of Hyde Definition Ltd, Dom Hyde, will be attending this year’s Internationale Waffen Ausstellung (IWA) in Nuremberg, Germany, from the 12th to the 15th of March 2010 which is the second largest trade-show of its type, after SHOT in the United States.
Dom will be visiting companies in the outdoor clothing sector to promote Hyde Definition’s innovative PenCott Multi-Environment Camouflage™ and to reveal additional new colorways addressing arid, mountain, urban, snow and low-light operational needs.
“This show is a fantastic chance to show the industry what we’ve been developing, but I’ve got a lot of leg work to do – the venue is huge and I’m meeting companies from one end to the other across the weekend!†Dom said.
