Halloween is over, so it’s time to start shopping for the Holiday Season. To help you out, the 2018 Propper Holiday Gift Guide is up and running.
St. Charles, MO — For the second year in a row, Missouri-based Propper International teamed up with the USO of Missouri to donate a portion of online sales in honor of Memorial Day and to further the USO’s mission to “strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.”
This year’s total of $5,181 included proceeds from sales during the week leading up to Memorial Day and the holiday weekend.
“As a Missouri-based company, donating to the USO of Missouri was an easy decision,” said John Negrau, VP, Marketing & eCommerce for Propper. “For over half a century, Propper has proudly supported our fighting men and women. It made sense to support current active duty personnel by donating in honor of the fallen.”
Each state’s USO branches operate independently and rely solely upon local support.
“Propper’s support and generosity is very much appreciated. Without support such as theirs, we wouldn’t be able to continue to serve the over 270,000 military and their families that we do,” said Christine Trotter, Development Director for USO of Missouri.
As a Missouri company, Propper is donating a portion of all online sales thru Memorial Day (5/28) to the USO of MO’s mission to “strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country.”
St. Charles, MO – Propper International is proud to announce a new Brand Ambassador partnership with world-renowned speed shooter Jerry Miculek.
Best known for his incredibly fast rate of fire, Miculek has been a member of Team Smith & Wesson since 1989 and has put on shooting demonstrations throughout the world. Over the years, Jerry has set several world records, including six shots, a reload, and six more shot with a revolver in under three seconds.
“Jerry brings a tremendous energy to the shooting sports,” said John Negrau, VP, Marketing & eCommerce for Propper. “He’s exciting to watch and has a terrific relationship with fans. We’re excited to have him on the team.”
During his recent visit to the Propper headquarters, Miculek commented, “I’m very impressed by the reception I received from everyone. This is going to be a great relationship. Propper’s drive to serve the military, law enforcement, and civilian enthusiasts is evident in everything they do.”
Miculek’s varied shooting skills have been highlighted on numerous television programs including the Outdoor Channel’s Shooting USA; History Channel’s Top Shots, Sharpshooters, and Extreme Marksman; Discovery Channel’s Sons of Guns; and NBC Sports’ Hot Shots.
St. Charles, MO – Propper International has proudly signed on as the Signature Sponsor of the Bigs In Blue program from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, one of the nation’s leading mentoring organizations. The program connects St. Louis youth (Littles) with men and women in law enforcement (Bigs) to build strong, trusting, and enduring relationships between law enforcement, youth, families, and the communities they serve.
Like other mentoring programs supported by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, Bigs In Blue aims to ensure that children and teenagers grow up with love, hope, and opportunity. The Bigs In Blue program maintains this commitment to children but hopes to address the strained relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Spokesman and former St. Louis Police Chief Daniel Isom and his wife were recently paired up with Littles and are already seeing the fruits of their labors.
“Bigs In Blue is not a new program for St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department,” said Big Brothers Big Sisters President and CEO, Rebecca (Becky) J. Hatter, “but the expansion of the program to county police departments and area colleges represents an exciting new chapter. We are expanding initially in these departments but looking forward to making this program available to every department in St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson, Cape Girardeau, and Scott Counties.” In the first year, the goal is to recruit at least 25 new members of law enforcement/police officers.
“Propper is honored to be a signature sponsor of the Bigs In Blue program,” said John Negrau, Vice President of Marketing & eCommerce for Propper. “This is one more way to continue serving those who serve.”
St. Charles, MO — Propper International is proud to announce a new partnership with Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA), a veteran support organization conceived and organized in 2007 to help the healing and re-integration of disabled veterans and injured active military back into normal American life through participation in outdoor events.
“When HAVA described their mission and told us their need, it was an easy decision to support this great organization,” said John Negrau, VP of Marketing and eCommerce for Propper. “We’ve been providing uniforms and other gear to the military since 1967. Supporting our brave fighting men and women after their service ends makes sense as well.”
One important facet of HAVA’s mission is the “Learn to Shoot Again” (LTSA) program where veterans who have significant or debilitating injuries can train to regain some of the combat skills learned during their time in service. As part of Propper’s sponsorship, LTSA instructor staff – many of them wounded veterans – received new uniforms and gear to assist in continuing the organization’s mission of training disabled combat veterans reintegrate into civilian life.
“This program is a huge lift for our wounded veterans coming back from their tours,” said Learn to Shoot Again Director Rick Cicero, himself a combat veteran who was injured in Afghanistan. “Regaining skills they thought they had lost forever is paramount to helping them rebuild their self-confidence. Propper’s assistance in this endeavor is much appreciated!”
