Darley Defense is kicking off their 2015 expo circuit with the iNDefense Expo in San Diego, California, taking place April 8th through 9th. Their iNDefense Expos serve as an opportunity to bring together Military, Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, and other organizations with businesses which provide cutting edge products and services.

Meet Medal of Honor Recipient SSG Clinton Romesha at Darley Defense Booth

Darley Defense is pleased to welcome former Army Staff Sergeant Clinton Romesha, recipient of the Medal of Honor, as a special guest in Booth #7003 during SHOT Show 2015. SSG Romesha received a Medal of Honor in recognition of his valor during the Battle of Kamdesh in Afghanistan, 2009. We are humbled by his presence and encourage attendees to visit Booth 7003 from 14:00-16:00 on Tuesday, January 20th to share your appreciation with Clint.

MDM – Darley Defense – Sunspring

The Darley Sunspring is a decentralized water treatment system. It is completely self contained and can be placed in remote areas, off-the-grid with built-in solar and wind power generation. There are currently 250 units in 14 countries.

The Darley Sunspring can treat up to 5,000 gallons of water per day for up to 10 years via its membrane water filtration system. It removes 99.99% of pathogens from the water supply and can be fitted with additional filtration systems for salt/brackish water as well as chlorine.

Darley Defense Days – Sericore

This is the first public showing of the remote and timed demolition enhanced and basic kits featuring the Medusa trigger device. Sericore is just completing Low Rate Initial Production. The trigger devices support NONEL/shock tube and standard electrical. Sericore is working on introducing a new firing system called RHI (Reduce Hazard Initiator) for use in high RF environments. Both the basic and enhanced kits come with 2 transmitters and 10 receivers in either kit. The basic kit comes in a soft case, and the enhanced kit comes in a hard case.

Darley Defense Days – Helical Robotics

Helical Robotics was on hand to demonstrate their line of MP Series Magnetic Platform robots. Designed for operations in difficult, dangerous, or hard to reach places, MP robots utilize rare earth magnets that are positioned as such they will adhere to metallic surfaces without making direct contact. Their design allows for vertical travel, and the robots can be outfitted with cameras, sensors, and other observational equipment.

The unique mecanum wheels consist of 45 degree angled treads that allow the robots not only to more forwards and backwards, but side-to-side as well. Their operation is fully wireless which allows for an expanded work environment.

Multiple model MPs exist, from small sized observation models, to larger models designed to carry up to a 100 lb. / 45 kg payload.

Darley Defense Days – T3 Gear

T3 Gear’s HANS pack is a day pack with removable straps. The pack itself can be attached to an armor carrier, vest, or larger pack using the attached MOLLE-compatible clips or straps. The main compartment is sized to fit up to a 117 radio, with three concealable top ports for antenna. A separate hydration compartment is made from dive mesh.

Zippered side admin pouches fit additional antenna or Nalgene bottles. A rear tactical helmet pouch is reinforced with dive mesh for drainage, with strap cinches for retention. Additionally, the HANS features a rear general purpose admin pouch and Velcro loop for ID.

Darley Defense Days – Power Breezer

The Power Breezer is a multi-purpose mobile environmental cooling device. It is capable of cooling up to 3000 sq. ft., reducing temperatures by up to 27F. It utilizes a unique water atomization technique that feeds from a 100 gallon integrated tank, which supplies 50 hours of continuous use, and the fan stores inside the tank for easy storage.

The Power Breezer had recently been qualified for Military standard 810G for salt fog. This qualification, along with with the recent addition of tie downs, now sees the Power Breezer being used on Navy ships.

Notably, the Power Breezer is currently being used in Basic Training at Fort Sill, Fort Leonard Wood, and Fort Benning as a proactive approach to heat mitigation. It also sees use with the Carolina Panthers and other sports teams, multiple zoos and entertainment venues, and other clients.
