I reckon I’m just odd guy out when it comes to the VP9.

In the span of 3 months I bought 2 Walther PPS’s, another Glock19 MOS version, 2 Sig Legions, 9mm and .357 sig, then an VP9. I was so excited for the VP9 but after handling it, shooting it I am not that impressed with it. So it’s most likely going in “To be sold” area of gun storage. I also sold the .357 sig Legion, fantastic piece but not a fan of that caliber.

    • I was pretty excited for it too, but MAC’s review where it failed made it a deal breaker for me. I still have my USPs in 9, 40 & 45 that I love (except for the HK rail) but their last several pistols haven’t done it for me, especially the spiderman grips.

Wow, that torture test video was trash, still can’t believe any body takes it seriously.

Pretty much. Not defending the pistol (I personally am neutral about it, shot it a couple times and was “meh” about it. For me, didn’t do anything “gooder” for a bit more cost of the alternative G19 or PPQ. I have more opportunity cost in the alternative G19, mags and ammo), but that video was just… I have a friend that carried a VP9 for his conceal carry pistol, and that video made shit his pants and so worried about carrying that pistol. I was like, “Dude, you’re in a f’ing wheelchair and you live in f’ing Dallas! You are an idiot if you got your panties in a twist because a guy with a beard on youtube jammed silt into a pistol by stepping on it or whatever.”

no kidding. that “evaluation” is hands down the most absurd gun test I have ever seen. that guy is a joke.

I never saw this video spoken of, I just based my opinion off of handling of gun and range time.

It’s a very nice firearm in all categories but it didn’t “WOW” me to the point I would replace the VP9 with my Glock19 or CZ P07, P09.

The trigger guard mag release is a bit unfamiliar at first as my thumb kept looking for the release button BUT I can see where once gotten used to it may deter accidental mag drops.

My thoughts though on the trigger guard release is I now wonder if that can get held up on some clothing article or item and accidentally drop the mag?

              My exact same thoughts.

Sweet, just like every other package deal. Buy package, pick up gun now; silencer, a year from now.

Silencer + gun deals never end up being anything but a way to generate a bunch of hype and never result in huge sales.
