SHOT Show 17 – SureFire Masterfire

I did not see this one coming. SureFire has introduced a Polymer Holster, designed to be used specifically with pistols equipped with their weapon lights.

The Masterfire Rapid Deploy Holster will fit most pistols because it uses a proprietary cam and lug system to grip the weapon light in two places to offer level 3 retention with primary and secondary lock systems. This means it will also work with suppressor equipped pistols.

You may notice and “On/Off” Switch at the side of the holster. When selected, this functionality will turn the weapon light on when the pistol is drawn.

Above, you can see the thumb button. Once it’s depressed, you rock the grip of the weapon slightly forward as you bring the pistol into action.

The Masterfire is designed to work with these lights. You’re getting a sneak peek at some upcoming Polymer weapon lights from SureFire.

    The million dollar question:
Will it retain a handgun with a suppressor mounted?

  2. Eric says:

So it wont be backwards compatible with surefire x300/200 models?

  3. Dellis says:

This is way cool but my question or worry comes from the area where the light attaches and locks in, is it secure or strong enough to take an impact or some butthole trying to twist it off your body?

Without seeing it in person it’s hard to determine just how much support this provides. Sure looks very interesting.

    Crye GunClip redux?

    Clever.

Auto-on on draw? SF doesn’t watch their own videos?

I’m with you and a lot of others agree as well. Surefire is not so good at listening to it’s end users. They’ve got the best and brightest engineers and yet they continue to ignore the wants and needs of the end user.

ya, the last thing I want is my gun to come out of the holster with the light on…

  7. SamHill says:

If it doesn’t work with x300U A or B they can forget it. Im not buying more pistol lights for this.

  8. Thad says:

I would say it looks closest to Armordillo Concealment’s X-Fer with a few more features.

Hopefully this also works with legacy x200 and x300 light variants as well.

    Safariland mounting compatible?
