Magpul Announces PMAG10 5.56 AC for use with AICS Short Action

Magpul has completely reengineered the PMAG specifically for use with AICS Short Action rifles. Although this won’t affect many, it’s one of the most impressive products they’ll release this year.

Many AI pattern mags for 5.56mm have issues with feeding. Magpul overcame the issue with their offset feed lip geometry that maximizes bolt face engagement, guaranteeing reliable feeding and solving the bolt face issue common to other AICS-pattern magazines for 5.56 based cartridges. As soon as you pick one up, you’ll notice the asymmetrical design.

Features:
• Compatible with short action AICS-pattern bottom metal and cartridges built on a 0.378” case head such as 5.56×45 NATO (.223 Remington)
• Accepts cartridge overall length (COAL) of up to 2.39”
• Single stack, constant-curve internal geometry with 10-round capacity
• Offset feed lip geometry designed to maximize bolt face engagement and optimize reliability
• Next-generation impact and crush-resistant polymer construction
• Self-lubricating follower for increased reliability
• Long-life stainless-steel spring
• Paint pen dot matrix panels on the bottom of the body to allow for visual identification

Looks great. Magpul needs to come up with a mag solution for the SIG P-320 pistols. Seems like this would something they could do easily for us civilians and the military, since our armed forced have gone full in on the M17/M18 pistols by SIG.

    • Alex says:

Big fan of the P320 but not sure if it’d be feasible due to the size constraints of the original stamped steel magazine. Maybe if it was encased in polymer like a Glock, something could be done.

    • Mick says:

Yes please, Magpul, do this to drive up interest in P320 mags so someon will manufacture a AR15 lower that takes P320 mags for a build I have in mind…

  2. Michael Boudreau says:

Will these be compatible with the ruger scout rifle in 556?

  3. Payce says:

That’s actually a really cool idea.

  4. Woo my prayers have been answered. If these run great in my Deadline action I will toss my accurate mags away. Great work Magpul.
