A Competition M400 Rifle Designed By 3-Gun Champion Daniel Horner

After two full years of competitive shooting with SIG SAUER’s SDI Comp Rifle, Team SIG’s Daniel Horner has refined the platform to meet his competition needs and developed the ultimate 3-Gun rifle, the new DH3 M400 from SIG Custom Works.

The first ever rifle from SIG Custom Works features full-ambi controls with the new SIG designed ambi bolt-catch and bolt-release, a Timney DH3 Two-Stage Trigger, a custom DH3 TACMOD stock, fluted stainless 223 Wylde barrel (for optimal 5.56 and 223 Rem performance) and a 3 Chamber Compensator for muzzle rise reduction.

    The upper in the thumbnail/video & the one pictured at the end of the video are totally different.

    Only quibble I have is that I do not see a built in right side bolt catch/release. At a match the ability to easily unload and show clear or quickly remediate a malfunction by locking the bolt back and removing a bad mag keeping your right hand mostly where it goes is useful, and something I wish more production ambi guns had.

      I’m not sure I follow. You can literally see the right side PDQ style bolt catch/release in the top photo of the article. Admittedly, it’s pretty dang small in the photo.
