Mystery Ranch Remains Committed to Supporting Military Customer

There are a lot of questions regarding what the future holds for Mystery Ranch now that Yeti has purchased the brand.

One of those questions has now been put to rest thanks to this statement we received from Yeti.

We are committed to upholding MYSTERY RANCH’S mission to serve those who serve and will continue supporting the military community as passionately as ever.

It’s a new business area for Yeti, but it’s great to see that they remain committed to their military customer.

I honestly have serious doubts about this. Frankly, my concerns extend to the entire Mystery Ranch line for serious users moving forward.

We shall see…I’d imagine Yeti will attempt to “streamline” the catalog a bit as there is overlap of similar products being available. But, what I really fear is Yeti turning MR into more of an urban lifestyle bag aimed at folks who trek more often to Starbucks than a state park.

This would be an absolute shame, but likely considering that any acquisition typically entails “efficiencies”.

What’s especially unfortunate is that MR makes good packs, and most specifically those for wildland firefighting, where there are relatively few good options.

They’ve already been moving in that direction for some time. *See District and Urban Assault lines….

https://hillpeoplegear.com/ builds a back geared towards fire fighters…they make good stuff…i have one of their smaller packs and it’s built well…

Will yeti uphold MRs warranty and customer service? I liked when I couldn’t get my tactiplane to fit properly. I called and they step by step walked me thru the process and then made me call them back if I had any other questions or issues
