When Badger Ordnance told us about their new rifle, we knew we had to share the news with you.
Much like its design, the M134 Compact Precision Rifle started life rather unconventionally. Just prior to SHOT Show 2013 we decided to cut down a Manner’s Composite Stock and a spare barrel to make a “mini rifle” for the purpose of displaying our products on a firearm without taking up the table space a full length rifle requires. We didn’t anticipate the interest that the little gun itself immediately received; it seemed like everyone wanted to buy one just like it. We continued to bring it to trade shows for several years and each time it garnished the same response.
As time went by and initiatives shifted with some of our other customer base, the request for a compact precision rifle continued to grow. As we considered how to approach the concept from the ground up, we quickly realized that the foundation of what we already had in a fiberglass stock fit the requirement, minus the extremely short length of pull. We set to designing an aluminum and steel retractable stock system that was compact, easy to manipulate, and offered an ideal combination of strength and weight savings. We mated this with a custom carbon fiber stock built exclusively for Badger Ordnance by Manners Composite Stocks, achieving an overall reduced length while still maintaining a standard length of pull and night vision/thermal integration capability. The heart of the rifle is built around our rugged M2013 action, fitted to a 14.25” barrel and pinned/welded muzzle device to meet the NFA required 16” overall barrel length. It features a detachable magazine system with our new Low Profile Mag Release and will accommodate the time-proven 10 rnd Accuracy International AW magazines.
The M134 Compact Precision Rifle will be available as a standard offering from Badger Ordnance beginning early in the second quarter of 2016.

Nicely done. Complete with SSD Easter egg.
thanks man!
Nice!
Am I only person trying to figure out what in the proper fuck they were thinking with that video?
Because I’m seeing covert two man assaination team in the USA…. Pretty sure that’s not good marketing to your largely civilian customers.
Think about it this way… If there is a long distance killing of a high profile individual with or without a badger rifle, does this video still seem like a good idea? It’s bushmaster’s “man card” bs.
I don’t take personal about the imagery of some mil/police/civ two man group assainating someone for a product video – but I have a REALLY hard time believing anyone thought this was a good idea.
What is assainating?
I didn’t see them shoot anyone.
Shooting pigeons, city rats , street signs……. If I lived in a high rise apartment in a big city I’d do that shit all the time . Lmfao !!!!!!
It was implied.
“You see him?”
“I got him”
*gun fires*
“Target [can’t make out as background music is relatively loud, could be “kill”] confirmed, he’s down”
“Let’s go”
Urban coyote hunting. Try it. It’s a blast.
Let me ask you the following questions:
Do you eat burgers like the girls in the Carl’s Jr commercials?
Do you drive your truck like they do in the Ford commercials?
Do you perform at the same level the athletes do in Nike commercials?
Does anyone really need a Shake Weight?
Ads tell stories. Whether they are real or fictional, the purpose is to get you to think about the brand/product and hopefully engage in some way (sharing the message, purchasing the item, or even visiting the website and/or following on social media).
And for clarification, the ad isn’t saying, ‘buy this gun and carry out high-level assassinations’. Instead, it is saying the same thing every other tactical company says, ‘buy our product because the cool operators use it’.
Yes to all
yes! as the film maker Im glad you see the advertising side of things!
Nice job, Tyler.
I own a small Marketing/Ad Consulting company, so I see things a bit differently than some people on this particular site. 😉
Exactly. This was an interesting clip ala Bourne Identity with good camera work and directing but a terrible idea for an ad. Makes my skin crawl.
It is basically the equivalent of a suppressor company making a video of a mafioso silently popping a mobster over a plate of spaghetti, cause that’s what suppressors are for right?
You certainly added quite a bit to what I saw.
Exactly this.
Whoever thought up the idea should have had four more people above them to say FHCK NO to something like this.
You’d NEVER in a million years see a company like Magpul who clearly understands the balance of marketing and manufacturing put out something so hairbrained as this.
The production value of the spot is awesome. The camerawork, directing, editing, etc. are all done very well.
Thats man! appreciate it!
In the immortal words of Sgt. Hulka…lighten up francis.
Anyone know what that thing is over the objective lens of the spotting scope?
Looks like a Wilcox RAPTAR
Definitely a RAPTAR. Handy rangefinder right on the scope!
Saw the raptar. Was referencing the piece actually covering the objective lens.
It’s a Badger Chassis for the leopuld spotting scope that has yet to be revealed to the public.
I’ve seen the SLICK before. I’m referencing the circular thing with the two bean shaped holes that is right in front of the objective lens.
That’s called “Cat Eyes”. It’s just tape used to break up the perfect circle of the objective lens and cut down on the chances of causing shine.
monnnnnnnnnnica
Monica! BDC rolling strong here!
Jesus Christ. It’s a commercial. Why do people get so easily offended these days.
Microagression triggers abound!!
🙂
Lol
You realize there is a difference between getting offended which no one is – and realizing what is stupid and a bad idea for everyone right?
This is the latter.
Sorry, I didn’t know “they” spoke on behalf of “everyone”.
Whatever that means.
kinda hard, and expensive to get booger land footage. who cares what it looks like, i was paying attention to the product. good job Badger.
Since we are all bitching and moaning…
I would have liked to get a really good look at the rifle in the video. Of course, if the idea is to make you want to come to their booth at SHOT to see it then mission accomplished. Just not the way I would go about it.
BTW, where did y’all get the impression this is taking place CONUS? The building, doors, furnishings, etc had a very Eastern European look to me. I was thinking Bosnia or something such.
Anyone remember the ‘Mission Impossible’ series? There’s a certain amount of suspension of disbelief.
Could always look to the left at the big-ass picture taking up half of SSD’s home page…
That didn’t show up on my mobile device but I see it now. Thanks.
lol!
Why not just buy a SCAR 17 its more compact even than this and can fit into an even smaller case and is VERY accurate. Also you wouldn’t need that Reece rifle like they used to clear the apartment before setting up the sniper hide.
Firepower is bullets hitting people but if you can get this statement out of a semi auto I like its a no brainer.
waste of money IMO
I really hope that comment was satirical.
Seemed to imply that they were framing the resident of the apartment, and the resident is apparently a single male in the shooting community since there’s an AK on the wall and SSD patch on the bedstand etc. Definitely made me pause to consider the meaning.
I thought the fact they chose an elevated position was to represent the all seeing eye of the illuminati, but your theory is good too, Joe.
Kidding. Stop being silly, its just a promo video.
your right, it was speculation. probably reading into it too much. the training concept never occurred to me.
wholly shit people, its a damn advertisement video and a well done one at that! anything else to cry about??? if you didn’t like it for whatever reason, great, but that probably means you missed the point… period! Stop overthinking an advertisement like a troll would!
They don’t know any other way.
??
that was supposed to be a thumbs up
That was an awesome commercial. Production/Direction was great. I’ll definitely be stopping by their booth because of this, just to see the ultra-compact rifle: not because I’m a stateside assassin.
At least, that’s my official position.
not because I’m a stateside assassin. At least, that’s my official position.
LoL. Well played.
I just come here for the comments.
thanks man!
It looks like a solid product from a solid company. I guess some people just need something to freak out about until jade helm 2 comes along.
Jade Helm 2? That will be the live invasion wake up people
thanks man! appreciate the support!
I thought they looked like domestic assassins. the operator beard, Wiley Xs, Arcteryx B.A.C. cap, asolo boots, kuhl fleece, vertx pants, and oversize wolf grey pack were dead giveaways
LONG overdue weapon system for the LE urban engagement tool bag who do not need a truck axle for a barrel… LONG overdue.
Nicely done Badger. I look forward to getting my hands on one. – Vic
At 14″-16″ bbl length, what exactly does this platform do that a high end 308 gas gun can’t?
They should have been shooting across the river. No need for stealth, everybody’s popping caps over there.
Looks like Kansas City. Are these guys Oregon Militia?
