I like the straps’ ability to actually retain the rifle and be reconfigurable. It’s something missing from every other softcase I’ve seen except Galatis.
How does the panel fit as an organizer in the exterior pouch rather than the main section?

The 6/12 panel is only compatible in the main compartment. The outer pocket is not made to hold the 6/12 panel.
Nobody makes a decent TSA-compliant, lightweight, minimal-size, hard case to fit a broken down M-4 (upper approx 25″), or an assembled M-4 with LAW folding stock (approx 27″). These dimensional measurements could even be made corner-to-corner, to shave an inch or two.
Instead Pelican, SKB, and a couple others offer only these unduly large, massively heavy, boat-anchor cases that won’t fit in the biggest loadout bags on the market, and eat up a huge chunk of checked bag weight allowance.
Perhaps a huge market opportunity for someone who might listen and think.
….or you could produce one and market it? This still is the USA where people have ideas and have the freedom to create/innovate!
