20.10.2023, Stuttgart – Rather than being deterred by challenges, DNS Alpha has maintained its production sites for many of its GORE-TEX products in Ukraine. This strategic move serves not only economic interests but also aims to provide support to the people and the country. Every GORE-TEX product made in Ukraine now proudly bears the label “Proudly Made in Ukraine”.
More Than Just a Patch
The design of the patch is also noteworthy, which the Ukrainian producer consciously chose: “In the colors blue and yellow, it represents the borders of Ukraine as they existed before the occupation,” explains Tim Vetter, Managing Director of DNS Alpha. Beyond indicating origin, the patch also symbolizes Ukraine’s enduring integrity and sovereignty amidst current challenges.
Solidarity in Action
“By manufacturing our GORE-TEX products in Ukraine, we are sending a clear message of solidarity. We are proud to have successfully kept production in Ukraine, as it was important for us to show support in this way,” adds Tim Vetter. “In a time when actions speak louder than words, we at DNS Alpha are making a clear statement with our approach.”

Explain it to me like I’m 5 please. Because I don’t understand how a German based brand, producing their products in Ukraine at factories approved via W. L. Gore & Associates GmbH to use the Gore-Tex branding is somehow subsidized by US tax dollars?
Krembots are triggered at any mention of Ukraine. They’re only programmed for a reaction to the word, regardless of context.
We are literally subsidizing their entire government. Their salaries. Their pensions. Their military. Their social security system. Everything.
Absolutely everything that requires money in Kiev is being paid for with US and NATO dollars.
I can’t find anything that says privately owned and operated commercial businesses get parts of the support package.
Still much cheaper for US than being pushed out from Europe.

Except for the plethora of open-source info verifying that our aid is indeed helping them smoke Ivan and break his stuff. We’ve funneled much more to far worse with less benefit.
We have helped to grind down our longest-standing geopolitical adversary with the military equivalent of thrift shop donations, without obligating a single servicemember to their soil. I’d say that’s a helluva good return on investment.

That there are products made in Ukraine? Boy, have you got a lot to learn. They’re a whole country and everything.

Not everything. To be sure, we’re spending money there like drunken sailors, but there are a lot of industries in Ukraine manufacturing products. Some, are even making products for their defense, like this endeavor. And this is the kind of thing you ought to appreciate.
I think post-war, there will be a lot of cool, innovative products that hit the tactical market from Ukraine. Right now they are all going to the fight, but there will certainly be an export boom when its over.
