GAOS – AmericanSnipers.org

Thursday, February 9th, 2017

I stopped by the AmericanSnipers.org booth in order to see how things were going and to pick up a 2017 coin.

As you can see, it features a Viking shield at the front and a Sniper atop skulls at the rear.  It’s a hefty piece which will take a cord such as the length of 550 seen here.  Additionally, the edge is inscribed with a motivational saying made famous in an earlier coin.

If you’re attending GAOS be sure to stop by booth #404 in the shooting sports hall. Otherwise, get your AS swag at www.americansnipers.org.  Proceeds benefit US military Sniper teams with much needed mission equipment.

Meet the Brand Ambassadors of Team MultiCam

Wednesday, February 1st, 2017

Many of you may know that MuotiCam has several brand ambassadors, but what you may not know is that they come from a wide variety of backgrounds and participate in several pursuits. The two things they all have in common are that they have dynamic personalities and they all use their talents to support great causes. Over the next year, you’re going to get an opportunity to learn more about each of them, thanks to this video series.

Brooklyn, NY – MultiCam®, a camouflage pattern designed for use in a wide range of conditions, has partnered with renown video production house, Foxhound Productions, to launch a documentary video series highlighting the Team MultiCam® brand ambassadors.

The fist video of the series, set to premiere February 1st through MultiCam®’s YouTube channel, is an action-packed cinematic thrill ride meant to highlight the collective talents of Team MultiCam®. After this initial release, viewers can expect monthly video installments throughout 2017 that will individually profile each team member with an in-depth look into their backgrounds, careers and hobbies.

Team MultiCam® is made up of a diverse group of individuals, both military and civilian alike. The group includes decorated service members Jeff Benrud (US Army ret.), Jamey Caldwell (US Army ret.), Luie Zendejas (US Army ret.), JD Potynsky (US Army Ret.), Mark Llano (USMC ret.) and Kyle Defoor (US Navy ret.). These men, who in addition to pursuing their passions, lend their years of military experience to help train active duty military units and help fellow veterans.

Jeff Provenzano (pro skydiver), Travis Gibson (pro shooter), Luke Johnson (off-road racer) and Ricky Johnson (off-road racer) round out the team. With each member also providing training to military and law enforcement in their respective fields.

Collectively through the Team MultiCam® Military Charity Initiative, the team raised $40k for various military charitable funds in 2016, and aim to raise even more in the coming year.

“MultiCam® has always been a unique brand known for doing things a little differently,” stated MultiCam® Brand Manager, Ernesto Rodriguez. “As we built this group of brand ambassadors, we looked for unique individuals with interesting stories who would showcase our brand to new audiences. This video series is our way of providing that platform for the team to do so; and we hope everyone can appreciate them as much as we do.”

Spirit of Blue Selected to Benefit from Sportsmen Organized for Law Enforcement’s Efforts

Tuesday, December 20th, 2016

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK – December 19, 2016 – The Spirit of Blue Foundation is excited to have been chosen to receive support from Mossy Oak’s newest initiative – Sportsmen Organized for Law Enforcement. The goal of Sportsmen Organized for Law Enforcement (S.O.L.E.) is to raise awareness and funds that will be divided equally among three existing 501(c)(3) organizations that already know where help is needed. Those organizations are Below 100, Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) and the Spirit of Blue Foundation. S.O.L.E. will harness the respect for law enforcement and generosity of the outdoor sports community, along with manufacturers in the industry who create the products and services that sportsmen utilize in their sport.

“No group of people is more giving or grateful for those that serve for our safety than outdoors men and women. The outdoors industry has always stepped up to lead the charge in conservation and will no doubt get involved to help the great people of law enforcement and let them know that we support them and appreciate what they do every day,” said Toxey Haas, founder and CEO of Mossy Oak. “In the coming weeks and months, Haas Outdoors will put the marketing experience of Mossy Oak behind this effort. We hope to make S.O.L.E. as well known in the outdoors arena as possible. I predict the response from these great people and companies will be swift and generous.”

“We were overwhelmed when Mossy Oak first approached us with this opportunity” explained Ryan T. Smith, Executive Director of the Spirit of Blue Foundation. “It is tremendous to have an industry partner of this size take such a bold and meaningful stance on the protection of law enforcement officers and care for the families who have experienced a loss. This is the type of industry leadership that the law enforcement community needs to help overcome the challenges they have been faced with.”

For more information on Sportsmen Organized for Law Enforcement and the charities to be benefitted, go to www.soleamerica.org. Donations for S.O.L.E. are made through CREATE Foundation, a 501(c)(3) community foundation established to aid in the collection of charitable funds. Kickstarter – Final Day For Amabilis Dave Jr Duffle 2.0

Tuesday, November 29th, 2016

Billed as the world’s toughest EDC bag, the Dave Jr Duffle 2.0 is in its final day on Kickstarter. Created by Amabilis, it’s a well constructed bag, but it’s also named after a friend who passed away severl years ago, Dave Ruiz. Dave and his business partner Brain Abrams founded 782 Gear, so the Dave Jr’s design may look familiar. Brian went on to create Amabilis after Dave passed away and he has taken their work to the next level.

They are really close to 700 backers pledging $100k for more than 700 bags! That’s pretty impressive.
