Brownells Announces Mag Dump for Washington State

GRINNELL, Iowa (March 14, 2022) -– In response to the standard-capacity magazine ban passed in Washington state, Brownells will donate $2.00 to the Washington-based Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) for every aluminum Brownells AR-15 magazine sold. SAF is currently planning to file a lawsuit against the state of Washington on behalf of gun owners in the state.

The Brownells Mag Dump donation event lasts through June 24 and has two main goals.

The first is to help Washington state gun owners procure reliable, proven, standard-capacity magazines for their AR-15 style firearms – before the ban goes into effect – to help guarantee their ability to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights and freedoms.

The second is to supply cash to the Second Amendment Foundation that will be earmarked to help fund a lawsuit to be filed against the ban on all magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.

“Brownells provides the products Americans need to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights and freedoms,” said Brownells Chairman of the Board Pete Brownell. “We’re proud to partner with groups like the Second Amendment Foundation to help fight for those rights and freedoms.”

High Speed Gear Celebrates One Year at Their Third Facility

Wednesday, March 9th, 2022

SWANSBORO, N.C. – March 9th, 2022 – High Speed Gear® is delighted to celebrate its 1 year anniversary of their third facility in Windsor, N.C. facility.

HSGI started in 1999 as a garage-based custom shop serving Marines at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., with custom equipment suited for mission specific tasks. High Speed Gear® has since grown rapidly and has earned its place as the largest full-time employer of its native town of Swansboro, N.C.  Since 1999, times have changed, missions have changed and High Speed Gear® has adapted to those changes to outfit service members, first responders and government agencies with the latest high-end tactical gear in support of their missions. To keep up with the sustained high demand for production, High Speed Gear® expanded its Swansboro facility with an additional two story building and quickly realized the need for a third production facility. So, the search began as the demand continued to climb.

In February of 2021, High Speed Gear® cut the ribbon that opened the facility in Bertie County, North Carolina. The additional facility has brought a magnitude of success on all levels of their business, especially from a supply and demand standpoint. Since then, “many” jobs have been created and filled in Windsor. This not only allows growing opportunities for the residents of Windsor and surrounding towns, but it allowed production lead times to be dramatically reduced.

“The opening of the Windsor facility was needed to meet the expectations of our end-users.” said Bill Babboni, HSGI COO. “We needed to increase throughput as the demand for our gear continues to grow. Since the opening of the facility, we were able to create new products such as the Apex™ Sling, ReVive™ Medical Pouch, Core™ Plate Carrier, Navigator Tech Pouch, and the ReFlex™ IFAK System to name a few. When we opened the facility, we also opened employment opportunities for residents of Windsor. We are proud of our High Speed Gear® family and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish next going forward.”

High Speed Gear® takes pride in the manufacturing of all products in the United States from materials made in the United States. Whether your mission is at home or abroad, High Speed Gear® is there to provide American made, Battle-Proven Tactical Gear.

ATN Corp Supports Ukrainian Efforts Against Putin

Sunday, March 6th, 2022

ATN demonstrates solidarity with the Ukrainian people with generous donations. ATN efforts on the ground in Bulgaria are now moving much-needed shipments of humanitarian and defensive supplies through Ukraine’s border into fighting zones.

Doral, Fla. (March 2022) – ATN, Corp., an industry leader of innovative optics for civilian, law enforcement, and the military, announce it has opened a site on the ATN website for direct donations to help the Ukrainian people receive humanitarian supplies and equipment for their fighting forces against the unjust actions of the Russian tyrant, Putin, and his forces.

Marc Vayn, founder of ATN, was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and grew up in the United States where he started the optics company in 1995. ATN has offices across the United States, as well as in Odessa and Kiev, Ukraine. Before the outbreak of the war, the ATN team worked tirelessly to move Ukrainian staff members and their families to offices in Bulgaria or a safe place within their home country. Several ATN staff members refused to be moved and have taken up the fight against the Russian aggressor.

“I am an American citizen first, but of Ukrainian blood and spirit,” Vayn said. “It is imperative that as a united front, the democratic peoples of the world push back against this despot, Putin, and all he represents.”

James Munn, co-founder of the American-based ATN, Corp. and CEO added, “As a US Army veteran, I know how critical, time-wise, it is to get the necessary supplies to the front lines in order to repel the enemy. That is why we set up a donation site directly on our page. Your donation happens immediately, goes to the source immediately, and will end up helping Ukrainian forces immediately. Not next week, not next month. Now.”

With supplies desperately needed, the ATN team, spearheaded by Vayn and ATN CEO, James Munn, has started a donation page on the ATN website that allows good citizens to donate money that will go directly and immediately to ATN teams and volunteers in Bulgaria. ATN teams in Bulgaria and on the border of Ukraine have coordinated logistics to move defensive supplies directly to the fighting forces. Unlike other donation sites, the ATN Ukraine relief donation site is processed immediately so that ATN team members overseas can take action literally within 24-hours.

Upon the launch of the ATN Ukraine donation site, Vayn donated $100,000 of his personal money to the cause. Current donations are now at $128K and growing. Donations can be made by credit card or PayPal. Visit www.atncorp.com/ukraine to donate to this urgent cause.

Team 5 Medical Foundation Heads to Nepal with Support by Tasmanian Tiger

Friday, March 4th, 2022

Team 5 Medical Foundation’s first post-COVID humanitarian aid mission starts March 2022 with a team of highly trained medical professionals to assist indigenous populations in the Palpa regions of Nepal. Tasmanian Tiger®, a Silver Sponsor, is providing support with product and financial donations to the non-profit SOFMED veteran foundation, Team 5.

Knoxville, Tenn. (March 2022) – Tasmanian Tiger®, a tactical nylon line of products distributed exclusively for the US market by Proforce Equipment, Inc., is proud to support Team 5 Medical Foundation, a non-profit SOFMED veteran foundation providing medical relief to some of the world’s most over-looked populations in hard-to-reach places.

The Nepal expedition was initially postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions and is now set to launch in early March. Team 5 consists of highly trained medical practitioners including professionals from the USA, UK, Portugal, and Croatia, will arrive in Kathmandu on March 11 and push into the mountainous Palpa region for ten days.  Team 5 founder and team leader, Eric S. Linder, RMP, will lead eight medical professionals to conduct medical and dental clinics, ultrasounds, and deworming for intestinal parasites, which affect over 18 million people globally and are linked directly to malnutrition and anemia of young children. Team 5 will work in cooperation with two hospitals and local practitioners for one week to provide care to 110 patients per day.

As Silver Sponsors, Tasmanian Tiger is supporting this humanitarian effort through financial and product donations. Much of the gear the team will take in the country will be Tasmanian Tiger products, from the TT Passport Safe RFID to a variety of packs, including the TT City Daypack 20 for daily use, to the TT Mission Pack MK II to carry the team’s clothing, personal items, gear, and to be used at their go-bag. Medical packs will be outfitted with critically needed medicines, as well as a variety of smaller pouches to protect eyewear, phones, computers, and other items, that can be easily configured on the larger TT Modular Gunner Packs and Mission Pack MKII’s.

“The logistics of this effort alone, with team members coming in from different countries, available transportation into the mountainous regions of Nepal, require gear that can withstand tremendous abuse, yet protect valuable medical, diagnostic and communication items,” Linder explained. “The Tasmanian Tiger bags, packs, and pouches are built to withstand serious use while protecting valuable and even fragile items. The ability to configure each set of bags, packs, and pouches is also essential, as each member of the team has a very different mission, with different requirements.”

“Our support of Team 5 on their first post-COVID humanitarian expedition is reflective of the core values of Tasmanian Tiger and Tatonka GmbH,” Andreas Schechinger, CEO of Tatonka GmbH, added. “All of our employees, from our corporate and satellite offices to our factories, are part of our Open Factory concept. That means we respect our employees and provide for them a socially responsible and sustainable environment in which to create, produce, and thrive. Like Team 5, Tasmanian Tiger strives to make the world a better place.”

Noted for its extreme beauty, the country of Nepal sits land-locked between China to the north and India to its south. One of the few countries left in the world where the fast-paced world of technology is slow to advance, the country boasts some of the most extreme environments from humid plains to icy mountain peaks. Nepal is the birthplace of Siddhartha Buddha, and its varied multi-cultural and ethnic landscape hosts some of the world’s most treasured man-made and nature-made wonders.

The Team 5 Medical Foundation mission members for the Nepal expedition include team leader, Eric Linder (RMP, FAWM [Remote & Austere Medical Specialist]); assistant team leader, Bryan Vande Sand (HM, ST [USAF/USN Corpsman/Surgical Tech]); medical director, Chris Duncan (MD, Intensive Care); coordinator, Saskia Pia Muller (MD, Emergency Medicine); dentist, Bryan Ferriera (DDS, Oral Surgery); dentist Burjor Langdana (DDS, Oral Surgery); nursing, Laura Thomson (RN, Critical Care Nurse); and paramedic, Ollie Neece (EMTP-CC, Critical Care and Rescue Paramedic).

The Team 5 Medical Foundation expedition to Nepal is being sponsored by: Tasmanian Tiger, Snugpak, Massif, WileyX, Darn Tough Socks, US Elite, SPOT, and Proforce Equipment.
