Blade Show – Blackwater Knives

Blade Show is the official launch of the Blackwater Knives lineup. Developed by DPX Gear, The line currently consists of 4 models; Ursa, Specwar, Aculus, and the Grizzly (seen above). It features an overall length 11.18″ with a 6″ blade crafted from PVD coated Niolox tool steel. additionally, the handle is made from G10. As you’ve probably figured out, the Grizzly is built for survival and is in use with instructors at the West coast SERE school on North Island. It also incorporates the new Blackwater designed serrations on the blade and the Cordura sheath has room for other survival essentials.

DPx Mr DP Skull Tool

This is just the survival tool that goes with the DPx HEST 2.0 Folder. The Mr DP skull tool features a built-in Peyser brass survival compass. It is used to adjust the pivot tension on the HEST 2.0 Folder and replace the glass breaker with a flat screw (flat screw also included with the knife). The tool also has an edged side that can also be used as a knife.

Cameron Grantham now Benchmade’s Int’l Manager

Cameron Grantham has been appointed to International Business Development Manager for Benchmade Knives. Formerly

the law enforcement and military sales manager, Mr. Grantham is a former law enforcement officer who held both patrol and tactical assignments with a large municipal police agency in the Pacific NW. Cameron’s primary focus will be on driving both international commercial sales as well as international law enforcement and military sales. Current international sales coordinator Likija Stjepanovic will continue in her role as an international sales coordinator.

Prior to joining the team at Benchmade Cameron worked and established an excellent reputation in the industry in the military and law enforcement/tactical divisions at Danner/LaCrosse Footwear and Leupold & Stevens Inc.

Doug Pettis, Director of Sales at Benchmade Knives, advises,   “We continue to see significant potential to grow Benchmade’s portfolio of brands on a global level and I am confident that Cameron will help us realize our full international growth potential.”

Sneak Peek – EK-1 Multitool

Developed as a collaboration between Emerson Knives and Multitasker Tools, the EK-1 has been under development since last year. This latest model has seen a 60% revision in its design and samples should be available by June.
