The National Gun Victim’s Action Council (NGAC), an anti-gunner group has called for a boycott of Starbucks on Valentine’s Day over their insistence on following local gun laws. By corporate policy Starbucks does not ban firearms in their stores but rather defers to local ordinances. If open carry is legal, it’s ok to do it in their stores. Conversely, if it’s illegal, it’s illegal so keep it at home. Their position isn’t pro-gun as much as pro-rule of law and we can get behind that.
So, join is telling these wannabe despots to “F” off by enjoying a hot cup of joe in your local Starbucks on February 14th.
Mission First Tactical did a limited edition Tshirt at SHOT Show that extolled the virtues of being an American and supporting American companies. They were so popular they decided to offer them to everyone.
Available in Black, Grey, Navy, OD and White, sizes Small – XXXXLarge.
The 31 Souls Project, working in conjunction with Americansnipers.org raised almost $15,000 for the Arc’Teryx Special Operations Support Fund. This non-parochial fund is outstanding in that they are ensuring that the survivors of all of the 6 August causalities receive support. I was at last summer’s OR when news spread about the crash and Arc’teryx moved swiftly to set up the Special Operations Support Fund.
The 31 Souls Project put together one hell of a raffle that was hosted by AmericanSnipers.org at SHOT Show.
Thanks to all who donated gear, time, and money.
We ran into Ted Tae, the genius behind ECHO NiNER and the great E9 camera strap at SHOT where he bequeathed upon us a couple of his new combat photographer themed morale patches designed by Webtechgear.
If you can read Hangul, there is more info here. The patches aren’t up on the site yet but we hope to see them soon.
NRA’s American Warrior is an online multimedia magazine that is part of the Life of Duty program. They’ve just released issue #6 and it features an article entitled, “Candystore” which details their favorite gear from SHOT Show 2012. You read that right, “2012”. That’s one advantage to an online publication.
Check out issue number 6 online.
SSD highly encourages readers in uniform to join the Life of Duty program. It’s free to you. Your membership will be paid for by any one of thousands of patriotic benefactors who support our citizens in uniform.
During SHOT Show a lot of folks asked Tactical Mama about the “Tacticute” tab she was sporting on her badge holder.
These are the creation of my friend Dave, proprietor of Mojo Tactical located on Oahu Hawaii. He’s also the mad genius behind zombie cookie monster. I have a feeling the first run is going to go fast.
