Gun Websites – Old West Guns – Playing Card Deck

Old West Gun Playing Cards

Gun Websites has started a Kickstarter campaign for a deck of Old West Guns playing cards. Like the previous AK Playing Card Deck, the deck will feature various weapons from the ‘Old West’ era – period rifles, shotguns, revolvers, etc. Each card features a full color image, along with dates of production and additional info, such as the inventor, weapon’s nickname, barrel length, a life-size image of the ammunition the weapon was chambered for, and more. The classification of weapons will be separated via suits, which of course means these cards can also be used as a standard playing deck.

ITS Dying Light Morale Patch

Friday, May 26th, 2017

Who remembers this scene from the Rodney Dangerfield classic, “Back to School”?

One of my favorite poems is “Do not go gentle into that good night” by Dylan Thomas. Apparently, Imminent Threat Solutions loves it too. In fact, they like it so much that they made a morale parch to commemorate it.

The ITS Dying Light Morale Patch measures 3.5″ wide x 1.5″ tall and features a hook backing.

Inglorious Amateurs –  Oxcart Memorial T-Shirt Pre-Order

Sunday, March 19th, 2017

April 26 2017 marks the 55th anniversary of the maiden flight of Article 121, the first A-12 to be test flown from Project OXCART. Few aircraft have captivated the aviation community (and in this case, the intelligence community) as much as the A-12. Project Oxcart involved the classified development of the A-12 aircraft as a symbol of the successful collaboration of the Intelligence Community, the Defense Department, and private industry to create a national strategic asset that our adversaries never dreamed possible.

This Memorial Shirt shows an artistic rendering of Article 128 as it sits on display at HQS (CIA Headquarters for the uninitiated) in Langley, Virginia. The stars, larger versions of the stars on the Memorial Wall, shine brightly from the front of Article 128 as a reminder to all who see it, that the mission of the Central Intelligence Agency is not only important to our way of life but, at times, requires the ultimate sacrifice.

The Two Memorial Stars Represent:

Walter Ray: During a routine A-12 training flight on January 5, 1967, a fuel gauge failed to function properly, and the aircraft ran out of fuel only minutes before landing. The pilot, Walter Ray, ejected but was killed when he was unable to separate from the ejection seat before impact. The aircraft was completely destroyed. Its wreckage was found on January 6, and Ray’s body was recovered a day later.

Jack Weeks: The second pilot fatality in the program occurred during this drawdown. On 4 June 1968 Jack Weeks was in Article 129 on a checkout flight after an engine change for the trip to the United States. He was last heard from 520 miles east of Manila. No trace of the plane was found, and an investigation turned up no clue about the cause of the crash. Signals received about a half hour into the flight from the onboard BIRDWATCHER monitoring system indicated engine trouble; a catastrophic failure was the most likely explanation.

The back features the Inglorious Amateurs shield logo.

Professionally screened on the perfect 60/40 blend cotton/poly shirt like all our offerings. Please remember these run on the athletic side, order accordingly.

Available now as a pre-sale only, from 12 March 2017 until 31 March 2017. We expect to ship the 2nd week of April.

KDG Mr. Murphy Patch: Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day With Everyone’s Most Hated Irishman!

Thursday, March 16th, 2017

IMG_0456

Mission plans are like Bar Crawls; everything was going great until Murphy showed up…

We all have met Mr. Murphy, and we have yet to meet anyone that likes the guy. He’s been giving the Irish a bad name since before Saint Pat murdered all those snakes with his trusty Shillelagh!

Any military man or woman can tell you all about Mr. Murphy; well known for his universal law. Murphy likes to make frequent appearances right before uniform inspections, after you have bought nonrefundable plane tickets for your upcoming leave request, and even worse, during combat operations. According to old military superstitions, if you get three or more officers together to talk, he will appear in mere moments.

We here at KDG aren’t going to sugar coat it, we flat out hate Mr. Murphy. We asked our resident red-bearded Irishman Daniel O’Brien his thoughts on the matter, and he said, “If it wasn’t for Murphy and whiskey, Ireland would be a World superpower!” Collectively, KDG harbors an overwhelming, unrepentant amount of hatred for Mr. Murphy, and strive to avoid him at all cost. In the spirit of the holiday, we would like to offer our “NO MR. MURPHY!” morale patches for $5.00 with free shipping. For all orders over $30.00 placed on our website, you will receive a free Mr. Murphy patch with your order. The offer runs now through Sunday March 19. The patches are Velcro backed for attaching to plate carriers and hats, and are constructed out of high quality PVC material. PVC is a good choice for the spirit of Murphy’s Law, since it’s stain proof construction allows for green-tinted vomit to be easily washed off!

Here’s the real origin of Murphy’s Law.

Murphy’s Law (“If anything can go wrong, it will”) was born at Edwards Air Force Base in 1949, and was named after Capt. Edward A. Murphy. Captain Murphy worked as an engineer on Air Force Project MX981, which was designed to see how much sudden deceleration a person can stand in an aircraft crash.

One day, after finding that a transducer was wired wrong, he cursed the technician responsible and said, “If there is any way to do it wrong, he’ll find it.” The contractor’s project manager kept a list of “laws” and added this one, which he called Murphy’s Law.

Shortly afterwards, the Air Force doctor (Dr. John Paul Stapp) who rode a sled on the deceleration track to a stop, pulling 40 Gs, gave a press conference. He said that their good safety record on the project was due to a firm belief in Murphy’s Law and in the necessity to try and circumvent it.

Aerospace manufacturers picked it up and used it widely in their ads during the next few months, and soon it was being quoted in many news and magazine articles. Murphy’s Law was born.
