Jessie Harrison Claims Back-to-Back Titles with Bushnell First Strike 2.0

Saturday, September 3rd, 2022

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – August 31, 2022 – Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, is celebrating pro shooter Jessie Harrison’s dominant performances at the recent USPSA Area 5 and Area 3 Championships. Harrison, who is also a sponsored Hoppe’s athlete, recorded back-to-back High Lady titles at two of the USPSA’s most competitive championships.

Harrison won the High Lady title at the 2022 Cheely Custom Gunworks Area 5 Championship in Brooklyn, Michigan, and then went on to clinch the High Lady title at the 2022 Hornady Area 3 Championship in Grand Island, Nebraska. Her latest wins add to an already impressive 2022 season, which includes the High Lady title at the Area 1 Championship and the coveted Overall Steel Master award at the 2022 World Speed Shooting Championships held earlier in the year.

Throughout both the Area 5 and Area 3 matches, Harrison relied on her First Strike 2.0 reflex sight. One of Bushnell’s most versatile optics, the First Strike 2.0 features a large objective lens, brighter daylight settings and a rugged design that stands up to the rigors of USPSA competition.

“In any match, I rely heavily on optics and what I can see,” said Harrison. “The Bushnell First Strike 2.0 gives me a bright, clean edged red dot, that allows me to acquire a sight picture as soon as possible and be as precise as needed.”

Federal Ammunition Shooters Proudly Represented the U.S.A. at the IPRF World Championship

Monday, August 22nd, 2022

ANOKA, Minnesota – August 17, 2022 – Federal Ammunition professional shooters Buck Holly and Greg Bell represented the United States as part of Team USA at the International Precision Rifle Federation (IPRF) World Championship. The event was held on August 6-12, 2022 in Bitche, France. There were 250 shooters from 26 countries who participated in the shoot.

The IPRF was established to create an internationally recognized precision rifle competition. Throughout the 6-day shoot, Team USA participated in a variety of precision shooting events taking first place in every division and category other than the Factory Division.

“I’ve always said that precision rifle competitions here in the United States feature the best all-around rifle shooters in the world. It’s great to see an opportunity for American shooters to prove themselves against the world,” said Jason Spradling, Federal’s Manager of Shooting Sports Promotions/Field Training. “It’s a huge honor to have two of our Team Federal shooters invited to represent Team USA.”

Along with Team USA’s overall success, Federal Shooters Holly and Bell placed high in their respective events individually. Buck Holly placed second in the Limited Division using Federal’s Gold Medal Match 308 Win loaded with 185-grain Berger Juggernaut bullets. Using the Federal Gold Medal primers, Greg Bell placed 5th in the Open Division with handloads.

“The weather conditions in France were challenging, to say the least,” said Federal Sponsored Shooter, Buck Holly. “Having great ammo allowed me to perform well despite the tough conditions.”

“I can’t adequately explain how much it means to me to have been allowed to represent my country at the IPRF World Championship,” said Federal Sponsored Shooter Greg Bell. “Overall, it was THE most fun I have had at a match in a long time.”

First RCBS Rumble PRS Match Draws Elite Shooters Nationwide

Thursday, August 18th, 2022

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – August 12, 2022 – RCBS®, the leading manufacturer of ammunition reloading equipment for rifles and pistols, recently wrapped up its first-ever “RCBS Rumble” – the company’s own Precision Rifle Series match, after years of sponsoring and supporting other PRS events nationwide.

“Our team couldn’t be happier with how the inaugural RCBS Rumble turned out,” said Laurie Kokoruda, senior product manager and match director.  “We have been discussing such an opportunity for years and thanks to the tremendous support we received not just locally but from our sponsors nationwide, the match was even better than we could have predicted. RCBS has supported PRS competitions for decades and it was great to see our brand take the lead in making a match of this caliber happen.”

Kokoruda continued, “A special thanks is owed to all the range officers and volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make the match move smoothly. We heard nothing but positive feedback from the shooters all weekend and we hope to be back next year in an even bigger way.”

The RCBS Rumble was held August 6 in RCBS’s and GA Precision’s own backyard near Pleasant Hill, Missouri. With additional support from partners including Bushnell, Hoppe’s, Federal Ammunition, GA Precision and Manner’s Composite Stocks, the Rumble drew 75 elite PRS Pro Series shooters from across the country and sold out of registration spots in less than an hour. In addition to the main competition, the match included side stages sponsored by Manners Composite Stocks and Bushnell.

The match heated up quickly, not just with a heat index of 105 degrees, but with a fast-paced, challenging course of fire that included buses, trucks and other props. Team RCBS and Elite Tactical shooter Troy Livesay took fourth place at the match, taking home one of the coveted trophies – custom RCBS presses. First through fifth place won gold, silver, bronze and copper RCBS Summit™ presses, while the top shooter in each class also received a custom copper RCBS Rebel press. Froelich Finishes First at the Minnesota TriGun Championship

Sunday, June 19th, 2022

ANOKA, Minnesota – June 15, 2022 – Team Federal congratulates brand ambassador Josh Froelich on winning 1st Overall and 1st Open Division titles at the 2022 Vortex JP Tri-Gun held at Forest Lake Sportsman’s Club in Minnesota, June 11-12. Federal Ammunition was a Platinum Sponsor for the event.

“This event is shotgun heavy, as most Minnesota events are, and had a focus on technical shooting skills. That meant small steel plates and challenging paper targets. A lot of movement and difficult shooting positions were the name of the game up here,” stated Froelich, a Minnesota native, who relied on Federal handgun, rifle, and shotshell ammunition to win big at this prestigious match. “Competition is always tight and many of the best in the country come up to Minnesota to compete. The Minnesota TriGun Championship is one of my favorite events of the year and I am super excited that I was able to secure the win here in 2022.”

Team Federal’s Tucker Schmidt took 3rd in the Open Division and 5th Overall. Varick Beise took 3rd in Tactical Optics Division and 6th Overall.

“This match had some great shooters in attendance, as always. Froelich did what Froelich does, and he cleaned house,” said Jason Spradling, Federal’s Shooting Sports Promotions Manager. “Tucker and Varick fought hard to claim third place finishes in each of their divisions. Federal congratulates all of these guys on their successes.”

“I was fortunate enough to pull a 3rd place finish in a stacked field of competitors,” said Schmidt. “I was running the Federal Gold Medal Match with 69-grain Sierra bullets in my rifle. They always provide handload-level quality, consistency, and they never disappoint. That’s why I choose Federal.”

“This match was very fun and challenging, with most of the stages involving running bay to bay or through the woods. The longer stages and sporty shots made this match one of my favorites,” said Beise. “The event organizers there put together a great match for all shooters. I am grateful for the good range officers, volunteers and sponsors that made it all possible.”
