Warrior West 18 – LBT-WTV (Weight Training Vest)

Looking to offer an alternative to working out in your armored plate carrier, LBT worked with the fitness community to develop a functional/stable weight vest capable of handling the stress of a high intensity workout.

The weight vest can hold standard 5 or 10 lb circular plates that can be found at almost any gym/fitness center, they also partnered with Sorinex to develop weight plates specific to the shape of the vest that will come in 5/8/10 lbs plate options, the plates can be purchased with the vest or without.

Unlike most weight vests, the LBT-WTV also comes with an elastic compression strap to keep the weight vest stable during running and inverted exercises.

The LBT-WTV will be launched later this month via LBTINC.com, just in time for those of you training for this years Murph challenge.

SureFire Field Notes Ep 23 – Low Light EDC with Steve Fisher

SureFire Field Notes is a multi-segment informational video series with tips and techniques from subject matter experts of all backgrounds. In this episode, Steve Fisher of Sentinel Concepts discusses his EDC preferences for low light situations.

Steve Fisher has been the owner/lead instructor for Sentinel Concepts since 2014. He also is a contract instructor for numerous ranges in Michigan and has been a staff instructor for EAG Tactical for the past 5 years. Steve currently serves as a reserve officer with an agency in the southern United States as a firearms trainer for SWAT and patrol divisions.

Steve’s career as a trainer started in the 90’s, first at NTFT and then later as the owner/ lead trainer of MDFI, both Michigan-based companies, and served as one of the primary Instructors for Magpul Dynamics. He was responsible for the development of new programs and tactics for several local police departments and new training curriculum’s based on low light, home defense and the use of the carbine, handgun, and shotgun in various roles.

This is the first shooting course review I have done, but I plan to do more. Shooting courses are one of those high ticket items between tuition, ammo, travel, etc. And I think by bringing some honest reviews of them I can hopefully save some people time and money by pointing them in the direction of the training / experience that they will get the most out of.

US SOF Conduct Winter Warfare Training

Two great videos here from Special Operations Command Europe depicting winter warfare training.

The first depicts US Army and Air Force SOF Train Above The Arctic Circle in Kiruna, Sweden. The training focused on skiing, snowmobile maneuvers, anti-personnel mine and live fire ranges.

The second video is of US, Polish and Lithuanian SOF operators conducted winter warfare training near Zakopane, Poland, in January.

Richard Mann Joins Panteao’s Cadre of Instructors

Columbia, SC, March 16, 2018 – Panteao Productions is happy to announce the addition of Richard Mann to the cadre of instructors available from Panteao’s online firearm training center. Richard was born and raised in West Virginia and has hunted from the Montana Mountains to the green hills of Africa. With his experiences in the field and his military and law enforcement background, Richard might be considered a mountain man of the new millennia. Richard worked as a firearms instructor during his time in the military, and while serving as a patrol officer and a special agent for the Railroad Police. He has competed competitively with the pistol, winning the West Virginia Army National Guard Pistol Match in 1999 and the West Virginia Governor’s Twenty in 1995. Richard is also a multiple graduate of Gunsite Academy. Richard now works as a firearms journalist and consultant, and has contributed to every major firearms and hunting periodical. He has also authored numerous books to include, Rifle Bullets for the Hunter, Handgun Training for Personal Protection, Shooters Guide to the AR, Cartridges of the World, Under Orion, and The Scout Rifle Study. The Empty-Cases website is a written and video journal of Richard’s firearms related involvements, and his 60 Seconds or Less video series highlights his experiences and lessons on social media.

Panteao recently added Richard’s 60 Seconds or Less video series to the Panteao streaming video library. The first new full length video Panteao is filming with Richard is “The Scout Rifle Study” which will be the companion video to Richard’s new book of the same title.

MVT Tactical Manual (Small Unit Tactics) Now Available

Max Velocity Tactical has released a tactical manual on small unit tactics.

This Tactical Manual (TM) is the result of more than a quarter century of experience at the highest professional levels, based on a solid foundation of SOF selection and training, reinforced by deployments to multiple conflict zones spanning pre-9/11 and the current Global War On Terror.
