Off The Grid Concepts Has Got You Covered – ALL Of You

Saturday, September 8th, 2012

Off The Grid Concepts has introduced the Dynamic Intervention Contraceptive Karrier (D.I.C.K.). Sure, it might seem superfluous. That is, until you need a viable safe.

According to OTG – “Knowing that you have the ultimate high speed carrying solution for your most desired safety mechanism should be the best peace of mind you could ask for. When the ladies see this they know you’re a man who means business and one who is financially responsible. So your money is going towards your ammo, not paying for a “negligent discharge.”

Off The Grid Concepts is offering the D.I.C.K. in multiple “mounting” solutions including MOLLE for your “war belt” and a regular belting solution for your “low pro” urban operations. Color options are wide ranging and can include urban camouflage so she doesn’t get apprehensive and see it “coming.”

Make sure you protect that money shot when engaged in CQB (close quarters body) shooting situations!

Get Your AK-47 Standing Lamps!

Thursday, September 6th, 2012

You can find some really cool stuff on Etsy and SSD’s friend Rusty Longsword is just the kind of artsy guy to spend lots of free time perusing the goods. This time he found something pretty cool. Many of us have war rooms or man caves, or at least a corner of the garage we can call our own. If you have one, it’s imperative to outfit it with some cool guy stuff and this AK-47 lamp will fit right in.

These are hand made slip-cast ceramic lamps standing 24″ to the fixture and a total of 33″ tall to the top of the shade. These AK-47 shaped lamps come complete with fixture, shade, cord and plug. Remember, these are hand made, low rate of production items.

“Navy SEAL Tips: Fundamentals of Marksmanship” by Brandon Webb

Monday, August 13th, 2012

Navy SEAL Brandon Webb has just released a new ebook (kindle) entitled “Navy SEAL Tips: Fundamentals of Marksmanship.” It is one of three titles in his new “Navy SEAL Tips” series. As many of you know, Brandon is the Editor of SOFREP.com and the author of the bestselling autobiography, “The Red Circle.” The information was inspired by the recent, tragic events in Aurora, CO and are an expansion of the article Brandon published on SOFREP on the issue. It’s important to note that these aren’t full length books but rather short guides, laden with tips. From what I understand, Brandon plans a full library of these handbooks covering a wide range of topics.

The full line of handbooks includes –

How To Survive an Active Shooter

Gizmodo Falls for Duffel Blog Story

Tuesday, August 7th, 2012

Holy Schnookies! Gizmodo was actually the website that inspired me to create SSD as a daily blog. However, as good as they are, that doesn’t mean that mistakes don’t happen. And earlier today, they happened. One of their reporters was taken in by “Duffel Blog” a blog similar to “The Onion” but targeted at the military. Apparently, Gizmodo actually believed that the US Army was trading in their bayonets for tomahawks. Good Grief Charlie Brown. This is why I pull my hair out every time the MSM ‘discovers’ a military story. Better luck next time guys.

Solar Tactical AK47 Magazine Funnel Enhanced Reload

Monday, July 30th, 2012

One of the chief complaints about the AK-series of rifles is that they are not very ergonomic. The Solar Tactical AK47 Magazine Funnel Enhanced Reload (MFER) is an easy to install after market product that helps alleviate one of those issues; the lack of a magwell.

Granted, it’s not for the purist, but for those who are looking for a little bit of a mag well to help funnel that magazine in place, the MFER is a great choice. As you can see, it’s easy to install and doesn’t change the overall configuration of the weapon.

The MFER fits all AKM pattern AK47 style rifles along with 7.62 Saigas. (Will not fit the standard Yugo pattern AK.)
