New Muzzle Devices from Forward Control Designs

6315KM-S, 5.56mm, available in the 1/2×28 thread pitch, is an extremely short muzzle device for Dead Air KeyMo and Key Micro Suppressors. At 2.063″ long, it’s tiny compared to the 6315KM (2.4″). However, it can still take a 14.5″ barrel to over 16″ with 0.1″ of shims, making it great for P&W builds. 6315KM-S, 9mm (available in 1/2×28 and 1/2×36) is sized to accommodate 9mm, making it well-suited for PDWs and PCCs chambered in 9mm.

Like the 6315, 6315KM-S 5.56mm has asymmetric ports to optimize muzzle rise compensation without creating obnoxious concussion and noise. Its 3 and 9 o’clock ports are slightly smaller and shorter, which forces more gas to be vented through the 3 upward-facing ports. 6315KM-S is a solid candidate for SBRs, and for users that want their carbines as short as possible. Shortening the flash suppressor has minimal impact on its flash suppression and compensator performance. It is made of 4140 steel, and then heat treated and black nitride finished. GBRS x Unity Tactical – Axon Switches

Unity Tactical has created special versions of their Axon & Axon SL with custom cable lengths of 10″ and 14” exclusively for GBRS for use with Hydra mounts which require longer cables.

Axon

Featuring a Picatinny mount, the AXON switch provides complete control of lights and aiming devices in a single, compact, and rugged housing. Lights and aiming devices can be fired from individual buttons with versions available for popular issued devices. Its unique design provides tactile differentiation between the two buttons to eliminate confusion in dark, cold, and high-stress situations. The light (angled) button features a switch that allows for both momentary and constant activation, while the aiming device button features a momentary-only button that supports the double-click-for-constant-on feature.

AXON SL

The AXON SL is the smaller, single-button switch in Unity’s AXON family and hard mounts directly to an M1913 Rail. AXON SL features a 45-degree angled button face for an ergonomically correct activation angle, making it easy to index under stress while wearing PPE or facing extreme environmental conditions.

These longer cable versions of Unity AXON buttons are exclusive to GBRS. Currently in-stock are variants for Crane and SureFire plugs with NGAL plugs coming in the next few months.

Really Right Stuff – Sniper Tripod Advanced Kit Issued NSNs

While this isn’t exactly a new item, it’s going to be new to many readers. Last May, the US Army issued NSNs for a new tripod kit from Really Right Stuff to update the old sniper kits.

The Sniper Tripod Advanced Kit (NSN: 1005-01-702-7501) consists of tripod, high-performance ball head, versatile clamps, and adaptable mounts as well as a carrying bag.

The core of this Made in the USA Kit is the RRS tripod which features carbon fiber legs which are both light and strong. The tripod can instantly transition from ground level to standing using their pull tabs. It features four leg sections meaning it can be made quite compact for travel, and will sustain a load of up to 80 pounds.

Unity Tactical Expands FAST Line with MRDS Mount and Improved Accessories

New FAST™ MRDS and Updated FAST™ Modular Accessory Suite expand capabilities for shooters using micro red dot sights
BROUSSARD, LA. (July 18, 2023) – UNITY™ Tactical, a designer of components that integrate tactical systems and optimize the human factor, announced today the launch of its FAST™ MRDS mount, as well as additions to its FAST Modular Accessory Suite. These products all optimize the shooting experience and afford more configuration options when using micro red dot sights.

The FAST™ MRDS mount, in conjunction with any of the Optic Adapter Plates in the FAST™ Modular Accessory Suite, brings compatible micro red dot sights to the established FAST™ height of 2.26″ to the optical centerline.

The FAST™ Modular Accessory Suite, which has previously included four Optic Adapter Plates and an Offset Optic Base that mounts secondary optics at 36 degrees, now also boasts two additional Optic Adapter Plates for micro red dot sights with Holosun™ 509T, Holosun™ K and Shield™ RMSc footprints.

Updates to the FAST™ Modular Accessory Suite now also allow mounting in conjunction with an EOTech® when mounted on a FAST™ Optic Riser, which previous models did not.

An MRDS Top Ring for the FAST LPVO also joins the accessory suite, attaching any number of micro red dot sights directly to the top of the LPVO scope mount. When used with a FAST Optic Adapter Plate, the micro red dot will sit at the 12 o’clock position.

“We saw a gap for end users who want to mount micro red dots at the 12 o’clock position in combination with other optics, and we always aim to fill gaps when we see them,” said Mike Roth, VP of business development for UNITY Tactical. “The FAST MRDS and the FAST Modular Accessory Suite afford several configuration options, giving end users the flexibility and customization to mount primary and secondary optics in a variety of ways.”

FAST™ MRDS is available in black or FDE. It mounts directly to an M1913 rail and comes standard with a two cross bolt rail clamp, but is compatible for retrofit with a FAST™ QD Lever. It retails for $152.

The MRDS Top Ring for FAST LPVO is available in black or FDE and in 30mm or 34mm, and retails for $56. The FAST Offset Optic Base is available in black or FDE and retails for $69. All six FAST™ Optic Adapter Plates come in black and retail for $36.
