SOFIC – SIG SAUER HALO

The HALO PDW from SIG SAUER utilizes a short stroke pushrod and will be offered in multiple configurations including barrel lengths, multiple calibers and even comes in an integrally suppressed model.

Shooters can easily switch between 5.56, 7.62×39 and .300 AAC. The upper is said to be compatible with any Mil-Spec AR style lower and as you can see in these photos, due to the operating system, it will accept side folding and collapsible stocks.

You may notice the 3D modeled brass deflector. This is so that they can rapidly test multiple versions in order to determine the most effective size, shape an angle for use with this weapon.

SOFIC – Paradigm SRP

We’ve mentioned the TALON gyro-stabilized marksman platform from Paradigm SRP in the past.

Now, they’ve added a control board as well as a 2000m laser range finder. The control board offers picture in picture and you can really see how we’ll it stabilizes the weapon. Amazing considering the weapon is actually only held to the TALON via a Bobro QD mount along the underside of the hand guard.

SHM Standard GLOCK Package

Not only did Snake Hound Machine revamp their website last night but they also added some new offerings including the SHM Standard Glock Package.

The SHM Standard Glock Package is an overhaul to your existing Gen3 or Gen4 Glock that improves performance without impacting safety or reliability. They hand fit and polish selected components from multiple manufacturers including a preset Zev Fulcrum full Stainless Steel trigger and resurfaced striker sear engagement to create a 3.5lb pull with minimal pretravel and overtravel and a short tangible reset. The sights are upgraded with a steel mounted green fiber optic front sight, and the I.C.E Claw EMS rear sight.

Gorilla Range Bag from S.O.Tech

New from S.O.Tech is the Gorilla Range Bag System. I got a sneak peek at this thing at SHOT Show and I really like it. For one thing, it’s a sling bag design making it easier to tote around. The GRB is a 3 part system which is comprised of a range bag, 2 pistol cases, and a cleaning case. Each item was designed from the ground up to function seamlessly with one another.

The main bag itself has pockets that are designed to carry:
-various sized paper targets
-staple gun
-elastic loops for markers
-ammo boxes
-2 pistol cases (included)
-cleaning case (included)
-extra big front pocket for extra pairs of hearing protection (friends or family range days)

I was fortunate enough to learn about PROOF research during SHOT Show 2013. They are a fairly new company located in Northwest Montana that designs and produces innovative barrels and firearms.

Constructed of carbon-reinforced polymer, the grips have a unique diamond-shaped cross-section to prevent twisting in the hand, an aggressive magazine release cut-out, aggressive texture for positive control, and are compatible with ambidextrous safeties. The grips are designed to fit full size framed 1911s with standard grip screw bushings. Available in dark carbon gray only, with additional fitments and materials coming.

Magpul Introduces the MBUS Pro

This week, Magpul Industries is introducing the MBUS Pro front and rear back up sight featuring all steel construction. They are freaking awesome. Right out of the gate, I know some of you are going to say that they ripped off this company or that company. Ok, got it. Now, check the price. MSRP for the Front is $84.95 and Rear is $104.95.

Naturally, they are Mil Std 1913 compatible and feature positive detents for both up and down functions. Additionally, they are narrow so that they won’t get in the way of other devices such as lasers.

The MBUS Pro front sight integrates a rotary-style elevation adjustment knob so no more tools and stows just .432″ above the rail height with standard AR front sight height when deployed for use.
