Coming soon from CRKT is the CRKT Tool. As far as Multi-tools go, it’s a rather unconventional design by custom knifemakers Ed Van Hoy and Tom Stokes. It includes utility blade, sawtooth blade, multi-fit box wrench, wire stripper, button/spring opening Phillips/regular screwdrivers with additional driver bits, and bottle opener.

Extreme Outfitters Offering CRKT Dogfish Neck Knife at 50% off

Wednesday, July 11th, 2012

Unlike many skeletonized flat blades, the Columbia River Knife & Tool Dogfish is graceful, gives a secure grip, and also has that dogfish face at the pommel which turns out to be—a lanyard hole and bottle opener. It incorporates a secure finger choil and friction grooves at the thumb spine and near the butt.

It’s E.D.M. wire cut from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel and the CRKT bevel grinds the 2.25″ modified Wharncliffe blade, and finally, given a fine bead-blast finish and add a razor-sharp edge.

You also get a custom-fitted six-eyelet Kydex sheath that grips the knife securely for inverted carry with the neck chain included, or with the CRKT MercHarness. It’s a useful, friendly minimal knife that’s a great value.

This knife normally retails for $29.99 but for a limited time Extreme Outfitters is offering it for only $14.99.

Eat’N Tool

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

Columbia River Knife & Tool’s (CRKT) I.D. Works line has a new member called the Eat’N Tool. One look and you’ll understand why. New York based designer Liong Mah took a spork and pimped it hard, adding three metric wrench reliefs (10 mm, 8 mm, 6 mm), can opener, and the right side of the handle is ground to provide an emergency screwdriver blade, which will also work as a pry for opening canisters. The Eat’N Tool is available in a bead-blast finish (9100C), or with a food grade black non-stick coating (9100KC).

Thanks to Beyond Issue for telling us about this one.
