Looks Like Fun With The Nerf – inteliSCOPE For Shooters – Indiegogo

Sunday, June 16th, 2013

The inteliSCOPE is an app for Android and iOS smartphones that turns the device into a tactical optic. It features multiple self-orienting reticles, 5x digital zoom, drop compensation, recording and playback options, built-in compass, GPS positioning, shot timer, and local prevailing winds.

Additionally, the smartphone can be attached to a 1913 picatinny rail using the inteliSCOPE Tactical Adapter System. It’s made from high strength composite-reinforced polymer with a ruggedized tactile rubber finish. It detaches via a quick-release toggle, can be adjusted to portrait or landscape orientation, and allows for the user to shoot around corners with no head exposure. A Nerf rail adapter also allows the user to use the inteliSCOPE on any of the N-strike Nerf blasters.

Nerf Transforming Assault Blaster

Thursday, November 25th, 2010

With obvious roots in the Magpul FMG9 Glock-in-a-box, Nerf has unveiled the Transforming Assault Blaster. Available from my favorite gadget store, Think Geek, this mild mannered rectangle transforms into a fully functional gun at the push of a button. Nerf included a built in flashlight for those covert missions in the dark, as well as rails to support all Nerf N-Strike accessories you may already have. Whether you choose to take advantage of the shotgun style reloading or the 6-dart clip, the Nerf Transforming Assault Blaster is a great gun to attack the enemy, or in my case, little brothers.

Get Medieval On Their Asses With Nerf N-Force Weapons!

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

Besides their fine selection of dart-based projectile guns, Nerf also has a variety of hard foam melee weapons with which to pummel the various whiners and non-believers. Although there is a variety of wimpy swords available, the really cool implements of destruction are as follows:

The Stonewall Shield and Dagger, which lets you hide behind its bulk, defending yourself from any number of attacks, while swiftly stabbing away with your free hand.

The Warlock Axe. I’m not sure what qualifies it for the Warlock title, because I’m pretty sure it’s not magical, but it sure is fun to swing around.

And my personal favorite, the Battlemaster Mace Axe, which is a mace… with blades. ‘Nuff said.

It’s also worth mentioning one ‘Klaw Hatchet’, which seems to be spoken of in rumors. Despite its apparent rarity, I am in possession of one, and although its pretty small compared to the rest of the N-Force series, it can still cause quite a bit of damage.

As great as these weapons are, however, it would really turn the cool factor up to 11 if they made Nerf Lirpa, so it would be possible to reenact this classic scene:

That’s right. Every good article should end with a little Trek, and I aim to please.

Offduty Part 3 – The Nerf Gun

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Three words: Tactical Accessory Rail. Those three words make the new line of Nerf N-Strike guns the coolest toys ever. And what can be more fun than shooting “harmless” foam darts at one another? We realize they are intended for kids, but the ability to tailor the Nerf gun, reconfiguring it into different configurations with accessories make it almost as much fun as using a real carbine. In fact, there is a growing community of folks who modify their N-Strikes.

Base guns all feature the 1913-esque rail mount and Nerf produces several accessories like the weapon light and extra magazines. The editor purchased the Longshot CS-6 for his four year old last Christmas and his teenagers have yet to forgive him. Can you say intimidation?

Nerf N-Strike Vulcan EBF-25

And joining the lineup soon, a tripod mounted, box-fed machine gun; the N-STRIKE VULCAN EBF-25. Available this fall and retailing for $59.99, the belt-fed EBF-25 fires 25 rounds of screaming fury. That’s right, the mini darts make noise when fired in order to psych your opponents out. Spare belts will also be available.

Nerf N-Strike Vulcan EBF-25 Belt

The entire office has agreed to spend the “curse” jar money for one. Too bad the summer interns won’t be around to feel the wrath of the Vulcan.

And we won’t even go into the new Rocket Launchers for the Iron Man and Hulk movies.

Available from toy stores and discount retailers everywhere.
