The Under Armor Tactical Hoodie combines the comfort of a poly-cotton blend fleece with tactical styling elements including a shoulder pocket with Velcro and a Kangaroo pocket bordered with mil-spec nylon tape.
Featuring a DWR finish, this is the first hoodie we know of that is water resistant.

Not only is Under Armour introducing an entire new line of footwear which includes the MultiCam Speedfreek. I haven’t worn them yet, but I can say that they are very lightweight.

Right about the time you will be at SHOT Show, UA (Booth #6104) will be releasing the first of several models of new tactical footwear. They’ve actually been showing them at various trade shows since early Fall but most of these have been rather specialized shows with restricted entry. The Valsetz Trail boots are extremely lightweight and feature a 6″ upper but I am told that 8″ boots that are AR 670-1 compliant are in the works. Additionally, waterproof breathable models are also on the way. Currently, the Valsetz will be offered in Black and Tan. This photo we received gives you a good idea of what they look like.
UA has been refining their footwear technology for several years now and these boots are no exception. When the weather was warmer I was wearing a pair of their Tactical Mirage boots which are actually low top trainers, to the gym. The upper is made from a mesh so they are definitely not an inclement weather shoe but they are great for the hot, muggy mornings we get here in the Tidewater. However, while the uppers breather very well, a quick jaunt in light rain won’t leave your feet soaked. Why all of this is important is that the Tactical Mirage are very comfortable and the same technologies used to create them have been integrated into the entire line.
One thing that many don’t know about Under Armour is how much they support our troops. Under Armor has been making outstanding products for years and while many of them have been designed specifically for tactical use the bulk of the line consists of best of breed solutions brought over from the sporting line. One such product is the Tech T. The Tech T has been a big hit around here for a long time but the dearth of military colors has made it problematic for tactical use…until now.
Black has been a standard product in the line for years and the Editor often wore a Black Tech T under his BDUs before retiring from the Air Force. Additionally, there has been a solid brown version for about two years now that was sold exclusively to one unit. Its existence wasn’t even acknowledged by the staff at UA. But now that same variant is available for purchase exclusively from ADS. Intended for Navy Special Warfare and Combatant Command personnel who wear brown T-shirts with their combat uniforms. They have also developed a Sand version for wear with the ACU and ABU.
The Tech T feels like cotton but is made from a synthetic and performs as you’d expect from a UA product; very well. It’s raglan sleeves and flat seams make the Tech T extremely comfortable as a next to skin layer. We cannot stress enough the comfort of the Tech T.
