Here, Ernest Emerson holds the CQC-6 Chris Kyle commemorative knife. Proceeds will go to his widow and family.

Below you can see the engraving on the blade. It’s one hell of a knife dedicated to a guy who’s EDC was Emerson. In fact, Chris and Ernie were in the early stages of a signature knife when he was tragically killed.

There are several other custom models up for auction but this one in particular caught my eye.

The handle on the Patriot was crafted from a piece of oak wood collected from George Washington’s farm. The hunk of stump is dated 240 years old and was alive during the period that Washington was not only alive, but also fought for this great nation and served as its first President. Talk about owning a piece of history! The winner of this knife will have something to talk about and spur research for years to come.

In order to participate in the Virtual Knife Show and Auction you must be a member of the Emerson Collectors Association. Look for details at emersonknives.com.

Blade Show – Steel Flame

Steel Flame has introduced these new MOLLE Bands. Made from copper, they take on a great patina and Derrick stamps various symbols into the MOLLE Band which fits a standard PALS bar. They are a little bit of a bear to get in place but once they’re there, they aren’t going anywhere.

In addition to what you see, Derrick shared that he plans to introduce Christian Crosses, Jewish Stars of David and Buddhist Wheels so that wearers can display their religious beliefs. He also mentioned working toward offering unit symbols as well. These are a great morale item whether military, LE or civilian.

Blade Show – Strider Knives Announces Adoption of Bawidamann PUP

Friday, May 31st, 2013

Strider Knives has just announced that they are adopting the Bawidamann PALS Universal Platform as a mounting option for their sheath knives.

20130531-135148.jpg

Bawidamann recently introduced a new injection molded version of the PUP that is no longer riveted but rather allows the user more flexibility in configuring their equipment including MOLLE and belt mounts.

According to Strider’s Josh Lee, while it will still be offered as an option, they are transitioning from the Blade-tech Tech-lok to the PUP for two reasons. First, versatility. The PUP offers a lot of options. Second, Made in USA! America, Fuck Yeah! Nuff Said.
