This is the latest variant of MATBOCK’s MR Dry pack system. Built in conjunction with Mystery Ranch, this massive 6500 cu in dry bag accepts the MR 6500 pack internally. As a Dry Bag, it incorporates an oral inflation tube and a 3/4 opening waterproof zipper which can be opened fully to expose the pack once on dry land.
The suspension is a Mystery Ranch NICE Frame to accommodate the increased weight of the contents of this larger pack.

THOSE LOAD LIFTER ATTACHMENT POINTS SHOULD BE WAY HIGHER ON A BAG THAT TALL. EPIC FAIL
I’m sure MATBOCK and MR put in all the time, effort, and money to engineer this addition without ever once putting it on a human. How silly of them!
meh, maybe, maybe not, weirder shit has happened
EPIC FAIL
Torso looks to be close to max adjustment, new NICE should be around a 24″ frame. While MR is guilty of frame height sins they are working in the right direction.
Now that I see it again, that yoke is all the way up and the frame cap is a good 5″ lower than the load lifters. I retract my previous statement. Looks just as high as the 6500 load lifter attachment points.
SWEET!
Nice job fellas
As a taller guy (who owns a few mystery ranch products) I think one of the larger weaknesses of the NICE frame is it’s relative lack of height. The inability to get the load lifters high enough to actually do anything.
I still really enjoy MR products, but have consistently wished for about 6 inches taller in the frame. I may end up getting the aftermarket carbon fiber frame extenders being made.
I hear good things about that aftermarket extender.
Subtle, I like it!
Yeah, I hear those guys make great stuff! Too bad they don’t do one-offs anymore.
Subtle Jesse, VERY subtle 😉
The new NICE should have the taller frame like the Guide Lite from the hunting line, somewhere around 24″
Unless you are doing tactical things, like wearing a helmet.
Oh, they thought of that.
Its so you can look up with a helmet on. If you want frame height get a non-tactical bag.
