As in past years, we begin our coverage with Crye Precision. Pursuant to their policy of not displaying a product until it is ready for production, there isn’t much new in the Booth. However, G4 clothing, including hot weather variants are front and center.
G4 incorporates new designs and fabrics.
On the load carriage front, Crye unveiled the Airlite Convertible Chest Rig.
It can be worn with its own harness or mounted to the Airlite SPC.
Additionally, they are displaying the new Airlite Configurable Radio Pouch.
The older model only accepted the AN/PRC-148 while the new version accepts the AN/PRC-148, 152 or two M4 magazines.
Here it is mounted to the Airlite Structural Plate Carrier.
Anyone know when the Airlite SPC will be released?
I know right, I’ve been waiting for that since shot 2018.
Last week i wrote a mail to crye … answear was the carrier will be available may this year

You mean the one we saw photos of from last SHOT?
Not to rub it in folks, but my first royalty cheque for this appearance just came through and I reckon I’ll be retired at 35.
Probably the most boring Crye release ever. I’ve barely heard anyone talking about G4s, very few videos on youtube about them. Not really interested in any of this airlite junk either, Blue Force Gear has been making the rackminus and an entire suite of affordable ultracomp/helium whisper stuff for years now. I’m sure Crye’s stuff will sell but it seems like modular gear reached its practical zenith a long time ago, we’re just getting marginally lighter and marginally stronger stuff with the same fundamental designs
