Do the police in NY regularly run nods and IR?
If you’re asking that , shouldn’t you also be asking why they get the fun switches
Do non-cop civilians regularly run nods and IR?
In New York? I highly doubt they let the peons have such technology.
Does the MLAD2 have an illuminator as well?
Nope, it does not have illuminator.
I know the wml can flip from ir/white, but I can speak from personal experience that the wml is garbage. I’d much rather have a SF/ATPIAL setup
I would love to know exactly what evaluation process they went through? My guess is these units were donated to the team in order to use it as an advertising gimmick. I spend a lot of time teaching NVG courses to L.E. and selling NVG’s and related equipment, but have never even heard of this company or it’s product. In fact I could not even find this laser on their website. Be smart, don’t trust your life to an unknown product.
I second this. Also curious why they went with a unit with no IR illuminator or why they didn’t source PEQ-15’s from the 1033 program.

Looks different from the pictures though.
